Build and Conformation: Lanky, tall. Slight build but belies his strength

Physical Limitations: Blind which he tries very hard to resist and not allow him to become 'weak'
Health/Illnesses: Fairly healthy
Original Pack: his mothers' where he found his first love Marnie (pack name to follow)
Pack at this time: Still undecided, may go for Sallin or Arnlan
Talents/Skills: Not being able to see has made him extremely attentive to things going on around him, so much to the point that if bored in a conversation he will count the number of breaths the person he talks to is taking
Nervous habits: Becomes obsessed with listening for noises and counting things when scared or bored
Mannerisms: As above, will sometimes appear distant in conversations because something he is listening to is distracting him. When irritated he tends to curl his lip and growl very faintly.
Voice: Dry and smooth, doesn't raise his voice often
Mental illnesses: Has been known to hallucinate on occasions, no defined illness
Superstitions: Comes from a pack which believes in powerful gods. He tries not to be but deep down he is very scared of being punished by them. However he would never share this with anyone.

Character:
Charlie has a shell that he hides behind when he feels vulnerable or is in new situations. When doing this he speaks only when has to and so tends to carry a slightly superior and arrogant air about him. When he does speak in these situations it is usually in a curt, know it all manner which does not show the caring wolf he can be. He finds it very hard to trust people due to his troubled past and only a few people in his life have really been allowed to see the wolf underneath. However, when he is with someone he trusts (whom he has to have known for a long time) he will open up and tell you his fears and dreams. Charlie is very clever and if his intelligence is not put to a use his mind can play tricks on him, leading to hallucinations arising from troubled memories and superstitions.

History:
- Born in an industrial city with a society where wolves (or canines of wolf origin) are feared and despised. Grew up in a detention centre for wolves with his pack. Fell in love with a fellow pack member named Marnie.
- As punishment for a planned escape from the centre, he was drugged and blinded by the guards and dumped on the streets. Marnie was also punished in front of Charlie, but he as he was subsequently kicked in the head and given concussion, his memories of what happened to her are too distant for him to grab onto. However, he does know that something happened to her, a thought which plagues him in his later years.
- Found by a Lancashire Heeler named Ozzy and taught how to survive
- As things got too dangerous for a wolf in the city, Ozzy tricked Charlie into going to a group of rogue police dogs that he knew, knowing that they would offer more protection than he could
- In this pack, Charlie met Tess, a dog who had been mistreated by her Master, found he could relate to her and over time the pair fell in love with her. Feels as if he is betraying Marnie and so is reluctant to show Tess his love.
-The Alpha of the pack, Scout (an Alaskan Malamute) earns Charlie's trust and becomes someone whom he really looks up to.
- One night in winter the pack cover a forest, hear gunshots and get split up. Charlie finds Scout with pellets in his flank and bleeding heavily. Scout tells him that he will bleed to death if Charlie does not end his life sooner. This throws him into emotional turmoil, until he realises that the best way to show Scout his respect is to carry out his request.
- After Scout's death, Charlie finds no direction in his life and, telling no-one, hides in a train to Madrid, looking to start a new life there.
-In Madrid Charlie does his best to forget his past and finds a little dog named Willow whom he also grows to love, but more in a father/daughter way.
- Sadly Willow is killed by gunfighters and Charlie is alone again

I think it's a good history, bit tragic being pounded so hard in the head that he can't remember much of Marnie =( Also, nice original design- I like it

His history cracks me up a bit though.. I was awash with ideas when I wrote it so it's a bit jumbled, to say the least. I think a bit of simplification wouldn't go amiss.

I thought his pic was absolutely shit-hot when I drew it on Christmas Eve (it was my first picture of a wolf) and I couldn't stop gazing at it, I was so proud of it. But now I kind of use it as a marker to show myself that I have actually improved a wee bit from then.

Thanks! It's funny though, I've had Charlie as a character for a good 7 years or so and I couldn't remember how I came up with his name. Then I remembered I'd named him à la All Dogs Go to Heaven all those years ago.. but I just couldn't change it, the name had stuck like a piece of sticky sellotape.
