(Kavs on Duke's account again) Well, after having Duke talk me into drawing for the first real time in months, it's obvious that I'm really rusty. Still, these sketches are something at least, even if I'm not fully happy with the one on the left. I also have no idea what the quality of the scan is since Duke's computer monitor doesn't display colors correctly, so I apologize if anything is off that I can't see. Um...enjoy?  |

Rusty, you say? Suuure. I wish I could draw like this when I'm rusty.  I adore them. Yeah, the right one's kinda better, but the head and the feet of the left one just take that sketch too. I know I said it a million times already, and it doesn't sound as honest said out straight, but I love your style. Whatever your artistic weins are made of, the blood in them carries the best out of the Europian and the American styles. dot . |

Oh god, these are freakin adorable. I absolutely LOVE the one on the right - the expression/face is great. And rusty? Poop to that - just check out those legs and paws <3

The one on the right: The snout looks a bit off; I think it's the nose. And the neck's a bit thicker than usual. Not sure if that's a bad thing though.
I actually like the left one better. The pose, as odd-looking as it may seem for a dog, is supremly cute. ^^ The smooth body structure is nice as well.
Rusty? Well, if that's what you think, maybe you should look at your old art. x3 I mean, really really old. It works for me...*shrugs*

Nah. Actually she knows she's not rusty, she just likes reading us admire he art ;P
Also, Kahvs; did you really didn't do any practise between these sketches and the last ones last year? o.O

Thanks for the comments, guys! Now that I look at it, the nose does look a bit different than what I used to do with my characters, although I can't put my finger on what looks off (too big, maybe? Nuuuu!)D:. I'll admit as well, these do look a bit different than what I'd been drawing before my hiatus; I used really loose pencil strokes on these instead of going in and detailing and darkening every line like I used to. Meh, it's more me feeling weird when I draw and having problems seeing how things should look (foreshortening, perspective, etc) while I'm trying to draw them...I guess that's what I was trying to say when I said "rusty"...the Kavs on the left still looks off to me though, rawr. I drew two things in between, but they were both pretty rough/on the realistic side. One of them is on Mike's (Duke's) computer here, so I just went ahead and uploaded it here, in case anybody might be interested in seeing:B. EDIT: I just got an obsessive-compulsive itch to scan the second picture in, so here it is. It was done somewhere in the beginning of February as a means of dealing with the depression I was having (hence why it's so freakish and dark-looking). |

AH! Got the problem with the nose, Kahvs! After staring at it for a long while. It looks like it's just a bit crooked; maybe if it was shifted a bit at a right angle...not just the nose, but some of the muzzle tip as well. I dunno, does that sound right?
Scary realisticness! x3 The top one is really paint-like, awesome quality right there, folks! The other is...yeah, dark is one of the only words to describe it, I think. O.o and creepish. Glad things are lightening up a bit. ^^
