(Yes, I started a new area for concept art here...'cause I can>3). I haven't used real media in a long time (not including pencils), so I thought it might be kind of interesting to color this with one of the new prismas I managed to buy (expensiveplz) and see how it turned out. Colored in sections off and on over three days. I'll most likely do more like this in the future, but for now, this is all I gots. (For those wondering, she is wearing the numbered tag and chain for a reason...comes later in the comic, whoo)

PRISMA?!?! Oh, you lucky! I've always wanted those. I used them in art class when I was in High School and they're freaking AMAZING (for those of you who don't know, they blend and shade like MAGIC!!)! Anyway, good for you, Kahvs! ^^
Question: 23... is that a random number, or did you choose it because of 'The Number 23'? ^^;

Dang, you guys got to use Prismas in high school? Lucky> ! We didn't even have real teachers in my art classes, just coaches:P. Naw, the number was random (I've never seen that movie...I thought about renting it, but for some reason, Jim Carrey and horror/suspense movies just doesn't seem to mixXD). I won't actually say what it's for, but I'm sure anyone who works in animal welfare might be able to guess it.

And I think Jim just wanted a break from funnies... he seemed really good in the commercials... ^^; I won't actually say what it's for, but I'm sure anyone who works in animal welfare might be able to guess it. NOOOOOO!!! It shall reamain a secret from me until it comes up in the comic!!! *beats head on keyboard* XDDD J/K. I can wait. ^^

This piece is so awesome- I think it's one of my top favorites of your work^^ I've been longing to use my markers again (only used them once so far!) and this makes me want to get them out even more ;D
Q: What type of paper did you use? I've only tried bristol so far, and I've heard watercolor paper is good too, but both are so expensive and I don't want to waste them practicing XP

Thanks, Smartie:3!
I actually used plain old Xerox (printer) paper with markers, since it doesn't bleed too badly and is cheap:).

Yeah, they are a bit more expensive when sold individually. Actually, my first Prismas were bought in a set from a Michaels craft store, so any that I buy individually are just to replace ones that have run out of ink or are colors that weren't included in the original set.
