"We are in your debt. Thank you, sir."
"Name's Wesley, kid."
The alpha listened with a grin on his face as the boys ate a lion's share of food. The humans could spare them. Rakine always had extra fish to sell. If needed, he could send some scouts over to barter for it. After all, it was worth the trouble to help a pack on it's last leg.
"Watch your tails on your way out, boys. See you around."
With that, the hound turned and trotted down the road a ways before turning into a familiar alley. Maybe he could scare up a few cats for another thrilling conversation.

Danner paused, glancing over as he noticed his brother taking extra fish for the pack. Oh. That would probably be a good idea, huh? He drew back his ears, embaressed that he hadn't thought of that, and grabbed as many as he could fit in his relatively small mouth. Once he was to the point of straining his jaws painfully, he nodded to the Wesley dog and glanced at his brother, waiting for him to take the lead back to the pack. Dad would be so proud of them!

"See ya, Wes!" Daire shouted back with a grin. A mutt that kind-hearted deserved a friendly farewell, but his good feelings didn't stop him from smacking Danner in the face with his tail. At least, that's what he was aiming for.
"Let's go, smart one," he teased before setting off toward the border. The quicker they got out of this territory, the better off they'd be. He doubted dogs strayed too far from their humans.
