A new comic format?

Am I the only one who voted that a novel form is just as good as comic form? xD And hey, Kahvs, are ALL the previous pages you've done obsolete now? Has the story changed that much?

Yes, Kavs and I have decided that this format will let us move ahead with and maintain a KO story. I've written a few 'beginnings' that she rejected, so we haven't worked out exactly how we want to start yet. But rest assured that we are, in fact, doing stuff when real-life permits. A page-one is forthcoming, and once we get started, I estimate we'll be able to put out at least two pages a month, and hopefully 1 a week at some point. KO IS COMING, I SWEARS!

I wouldn't say it's changed radically, but I don't think the existing pages can be considered canon anymore. It's kind of saddening, but we think in the interest of bringing the story back to life, especially with a new presentation, a fresh start is pretty much a requirement.

Work officially in progress. It remains to be seen whether we can maintain a consistent pace, but at least we've gotten started, woot!

I had this worked out when I was getting the idea to write a comic. I figure if you keep a constant pace, but keep about five pages in advance of whatever post schedule you want to do, you should be good update-wise in case something in RL comes up. Just some helpful tips from an idiot who can't make up her mind about what the hell she wants to write about.

Oh, another question: Is this even gonna be posted on DeviantArt? And if it is, will it be seen on Kahv's new account or the 'old' one?

I think she'll want to post pages on DA and possibly other sites, and also have it hosted on adelaide.xepher.net/ so that we can control the presentation, ie table of contents, previous/next buttons etc. Just fyi, we are still a week+ from posting page one, I think, but we both seem to believe this format will encourage us to make consistent progress. I hope I don't screws it up with my weird-ass storytelling, omg!

Oh, I have another question. xD What kind of style will the art be done? Digital vs. traditional methods? The original shading vs. the cell shading? Sketchy vs. clean lineart?

Dunno, I guess this could be considered under the catagory of 'just watch and you'll find out'. xD Just curious. <3

All I really know for sure at the moment is that Kavs likes paper for sketching, but beyond that I really have no clue. I guess it's a wait and see situation for both of us. Everything she does has that signature style to it, so it will still have the old KO flavor at least.

Kavs is finishing up some commissions before she starts on KO arts, and in the mean time, I can be writing ahead and revising etc. We'll have something put together soonish.
