"Looks closely or else, the deceit will be yours" ______________ Build: Elegant, Square Weight: 65 lbs Height: 2' Colors: Chocolate, Caramel, Brown, Mahogany Main Color: Carmel Secondary: Chocolate Markings: Brown, Mahogany Eye Color: Dark Brown
Like most of his breed, Lükas is a medium-sized dog at only two feet and sixty-five pounds. His fur is dense and hard to manage, but keeps out the colder temperatures of the region. His coloration is one that is commonly seen amongst Tervurens. A deep chocolate-like color begins atop his head, and then paints its way down neck. It ends at his scruff to mix with the mahogany on his shoulders. A brown stripe runs down his back that mixes onto brown on his side and a lighter brown on his legs. His tail is the same shade of lighter brown on the base, and then turns into the chocolate that coats his head at the very tip. He has pointed ears, and a angular face, one that could be described as somewhere between a wolf and a collie.[/i]

"My soul is fire, and if you get to close, I'll burn you" ______________
As energetic as he is watchful, Lükas makes a good friend, one that is protective of those closest to him. He makes a skilled watchdog, being both observant and sensitive to any kind of change in his environment. He's young and rightfully so, he's nervous in new situations. Furthermore, he's still learning. Because of this, the dog can be easily goaded into doing this that are hurtful or potentially dangerous for both himself and those around him. Yet, he is willing to learn from his mistakes. His skills lie in speed, the chase, herding. After his experiences with a pack, he is willing to work with almost anyone, whether they be canine or feline, human or some other creature. Lükas is quick witted and follows orders to the letter without question or hesitation. He was brought to listen and do as he was told, so to him, it just doing what is natural.
He enjoys racing others, swimming, and sparring with other dogs and the occasional wolf. He's open-minded and friendly and likes pretty much anyone. He's an excellent tracker and a decent herder, but could use a little more training at it. He's not fond of those that pick on those less fortunate or weaker than them and will stand up for whoever he feels needs protective. Yet, despite all these good qualities, he does have a few weaknesses. He can be harsh on himself and very critical of what he does and thinks. He absolutely cannot tolerate to be called scared or a chicken. It infuriates him. He'll do his very best to attack the one that called him this. Also, he has tendencies to be pigheaded and refuse to listen, even if it will prevent himself from hurting himself or doing something stupid.

"What lies here is the truth" ______________ Lükas was born into a pack of dogs that tracked for the humans that owned them in return for a free board and a meal. He was the son of the Alpha Male and the Master Huntress. Everyone had expectations of him. Everyone told him to be strong and brave. From the moment he and his siblings entered the world, everyone -both the humans and the dogs- had their eyes on him as the eldest son. The earliest memories he can remember clearly are of his mother, named Sasha, doting on them. The earliest of these is the day he had gotten separated from the pack during a hunt. His mother tended to him and soothed his tears. She took back to the pack's den. There, his father, Hess, and siblings fussed over him, ensuring that their little one was all right. He grew up in a very tight knit family, one that had learned to rely and trust one another, to depend on each other for survival when they were away from the humans, as they often were.
His and his siblings -Wesley, Andrea, Smelttenheim, and the twins, Licht and Richtbok- were out and about in the woods not too far away from the den playing as usual. They had just reached the milestone of turning four months old and now they were truly able to explore. It was Smelttenheim who spotted the oncoming wolves first. The pups ran back to their parents in fright, all but Lükas anyway. He stood his ground, growling and snarling at the huge wolves. The wolves stood there, laughing at the little pup. How dare they! He thought. This was their land, their home. They had no right to encroach upon it like this. "W-wh-what d-do you w-w-want, f-fi-filthy w-wo-wolves?" He asked. He flinched as one took a sudden step forward and bowled the scared pup over. Despite his tough words, he was scared. He had never seen a real wolf before, but he'd heard the stories from his mother and father alike. They were hard and mean and had been toughened by the elements by they lived.
His parents, at that moment, choose to intervene. They calmly asked the wolves to leave their son alone or they'd be intruding upon pack lands with the intent to kill a child. The wolves, of course, were none to pleased at this, and so, turned their attentions of the scared pup. Lükas couldn't breathe as a heavy paw was placed on his chest. He struggled for breath against the crushing weight. His mother was the first to react. She, without order or thought about the consequences for herself, attacked the wolf that was pinning her baby boy to the ground. The group of wolves was rather large with about ten in number, but Sasha managed to take out at least three of them as she twirled nimbly on her feet and clawed at the wolves. She was thrown to the ground by a large white wolf, who proceeded to claw at her underbelly in an attempt to gut her.
It was then Hess he took action. Being a large dog, he collided with white wolf, knocked it from his mate, and managed to knock it unconscious. With their numbers almost halved, the wolves began to surround the pair of Teverurens. Hess barked at his son to run back to the end, to take his siblings and hide somewhere safe. He was frozen in fear. His little body trembled and his mind was fogged over with the images that had just been presented before his innocent eyes. He had never seen his beloved mother or father fight to tenaciously against anything or anyone. To know they could be provoked to such action frightened him immensely. After a moment, he seemed to come out of this comatose-like state and snarled quite suddenly at the wolf he assumed was the leader.
"Leave my mother and father alone!" He yelled.
The wolf laughed and turned to face his new challenger. "Why, child, don't you know any better? Do as your told." The wolf moved a little closer. "Go on, you little brat, return to your sniveling little siblings and perhaps I shall spare your mommy. How's that?" His chest burned. It felt like someone had poured molten magma down his throat and ignited his entire body with fire. He could barely think of anything besides hurting this wolf. This emotion was new to him. It was rage, and it was potent in the child. The wolf laughed as the pup bared his fangs, throwing his head back as the boy lowered himself closer to the ground in what he surmised as submission. He jerked his head around as a sharp pain shot through one of his legs. He glanced back... and to his amazement, the pup had that balls to sink its fangs into his leg yet again.
It was at that moment he got his first taste of the fight.
The results of which were a bloody battle between him and the unnamed leader of this pack. His parents and the other wolves made no move, all of them still stunned that such a small dog could be holding off a grown wolf with relatively no problem. Where the wolf was large and muscular, Lükas was smaller and faster. He used this to his advantage as he did his best to shred the wolf into little bits of flesh. With each passing moving, his youth proved to give him an edge. The wolf was older and could tired more easily. He jerked sideways to avoid a sideswiped aimed at his face. The wolf snarled at him, called him a chicken. Lükas went stock still quite suddenly. His little face blinked up at the wolf and then, he jumped upward, seizing the throat of the wolf. His weight wouldn't have been enough to bring the wolf to his knees on a normal day, but he'd sufficiently tired it out, and with the extra weight squeezing around his neck and cutting off his air supply, the wolf's legs gave out. It went tumbling into the ground before it knew what happened. The male pup didn't let go for another few minutes until he was certain that the wolf was unconscious. He didn't kill him. He didn't need or want to. He had never killed another canine before and to him, it felt wrong to do so.
The other wolves stared at Lükas. They couldn't believe that their alpha had been taken out by a mere child. Lükas made a single step toward them, his little teeth shining in a grin. They yelped as he barked once. This sent the running. In doing so, they released his parents. Neither Sasha nor Hess had been seriously harmed, but like the wolves, they were in complete and utter shock at the skill and speed of their son. They'd never seen anything quite like it. His mother was the first to come out of his stupor. She lead him back to the others and one by one, she went through and checked them for injured before she turned back to Lükas. She had not spoken to him during the entire time all of this had taken place. She nuzzled him gently and seemed to be thinking. She whispered a soft "be right back, darling", to the pups, and went to talk to her mate.
Hess and Sasha discussed the matter of Lükas' training. He had just shown himself to quite capable of taking care of himself in a fight, but he had also shown that he lacked the ability to kill. This would make him a decent hunter or a fair tracker at least. It was Hess' job, in the end, to decide what rank his eldest child would be trained for. He and Sasha talked for more than an hour, and when the decision was made, they named Lükas as the heir to the pack's throne, meaning that he would need to be trained in all area. His mother would handle tracking, healing, and hunting -as she herself being the Head Huntress was skilled at all of this- and her mate would deal with the more masculine aspects such as fighting and tactics. And so, they returned to the den to make the announcement to the pups together.
After first, his male siblings were slightly resentful of the idea, even though they understood why, but as his training progressed and he began to teach them things himself, they learned to let go of their annoyances and were taught alongside their brother. For the next six months, he was taught everything he could possibly need to know to become the next alpha male.
He had a fair nose and was one of the fastest wolves on the pack, as well as nimble on his toes, but he lacked the ability to make last minute decisions. This would prove to change the course of his life. During a training sensation with his mother, they had been tracking a dog by the name of Dram that wasn't too much older than Lükas. Little did Lükas know, but Dram had wondered away from the marked areas that had been set up for the exercise by Sasha. He followed the scent regardless of this, but in the end, he got lost in the unfamiliar territory that surrounded him. Fear overpowered his usually logical mind and he found himself very much alone and very aware of the colder temperatures of the oncoming winter. He panicked and turned back in the direction that he believed he had come in. However, things only got worse as he headed toward a cliff. With his momentum and the gravelly ground beneath him recently soaked by rain, he was unable to keep his footing and went tumbling over the edge. The young dog fell down and down until he suddenly hit water.
It was very, very cold. The water's current was strong and swept him along. Water filled his nose and his mouth, muffling his startled cries as he was dragged further away from where heh ad fallen. The further and longer he was in the water, the colder her got. Worse sitll, the water was getting rougher. The current was beginning to pick up and rocks were cropping up more and more frequently. He was heading closer and closer to the rapids! He was thrown against one rock, disorienting him for a moment, and then another. After the third time of being roughly tossed against the bits of gray slate that protruded from the water, he was knocked out cold.
Sometime later, he awoke on a cold and muddy bank. His coat, usually well-kept, was soaked and had a multitude of things tangled in it, including sticks and mud. He was sore and shivering violently. Lükas knew he needed to get up, to find out where he was, and to get back home. How long had the exercise been over with? He glanced at the sky. The sun had slipped away from its high noon position. He guessed it to be about three or four in the afternoon. With a grunt, the yearling pushed himself onto his unsteady legs. His legs held him for less than a minute before he gracelessly collapsed back onto the ground. He whimpered softly, wondering where his family was and if anyone had noticed he was yet gone. He found that his strength was fleeting and fading quickly. His dark brown eyes fell close and he went into a dreamless sleep.
His mother, who indeed had noticed he was gone, had alerted the pack. They were now out looking for the yearling dog. She was the first to catch wind of his scent, however weak it was. She tracked him down to the bank where he still lay, barely moving, hardly breathing. She instantly was at his side, nuzzling him and trying to awaken him. When her attempts proved to be fruitless, she wondered if she could carry him back the den. She shook her head. He was too weak to make that journey and live, and so, she pulled him into the dying grasses and began to lick him, stimulating his blood to return to his limbs and drying him. Soon enough, thanks to her efforts, the shivering stopped. By now, the rest of the pack had discovered Sasha and Lükas. They stayed close at hand in case they were needed. His siblings and father gathered close to his body, keeping him warm and comfortable. Another hour passed before Lükas finally returned to the world of the living.
He blinked up at them. Everything still hurt but he felt marginally better. Lükas smiled at those around him. He staggered upright onto his feet, almost fell, and was caught by his father, who grabbed him and pulled him up by his scruff. Lükas didn't yelp or groan as he was placed on Hess' back and then carried back the den. There, he spent the next week recovering from the accidental fall into the almost frozen river. During this time, Hess and Sasha had another talk. It was apparent that Lükas wasn't suited for the life of leading. He panicked under pressure. Yet, Sasha was unwilling to withdraw the earlier decree made when he was but four months old. However, Hess was not to be so tenderhearted. He renounced the decree and instead, named Licht his heir. Lükas was pretending to be asleep when they made the new decree. His feelings were hurt. Everything he had been trained for had been for not. He cried himself to sleep later that evening.
When he awoke the following morning, he began to wonder what life was like outside of the pack. Was it has splendid as he heard, as bright? Could he survive outside of this pack? The answer -yes. Dogs were reliant normally upon a pack and Lükas had never known any other way to live. The idea frightened him. He didn't want to leave behind his family, his friends, but yet, there was something out there that was calling him now that his ears weren't clogged the the words of his teachers. He spent the next few weeks thinking at the idea, picking at it, and examined it form all sides. Was it the right choice for him to make? Every time he thought back leaving the pack, his heartstrings were pulled a littler tighter. Sasha, being the one closest to her son, noticed this behavior. She noticed how he distanced himself, how he'd disappear early in the morning and go sit upon a hill and think until dusk. She began to think that perhaps he had overheard what had been said, how he now lacked a purpose for being. Sasha was concerned, and so, she went to comfort him.
The reaction she got was one she had never expected to see from her baby boy. He yelled and accused her of being a traitor, for not letting him have another chance, that he was young and that he'd screwed up, but that wasn't a reason to take his title from him. Lükas spent a long while yelling at her and when he was done his throat was raw and his chest was heaving. His eyes were red with unshed tears and he was angry. Despite all of this and his physical appearance, he actually felt better. Sasha knew that it was not fair to ask him to stay, not went he felt this way. She was of high enough rank and as the alpha male's mate, she could dismiss anyone she thought needed to be dismissed or demoted. She considered continuing his training, letting him become a tracker. What good would that do, though? It would be torture for him to ruled by his brother one day and probably tear them apart if it hadn't already. Based on this and her own account of his feelings at that moment, she knew what she needed to do.
"Lükas of Wiennport, Son of Sasha, Head Huntress of Wiennport, and Hess, Alpha Male of Wiennport, it is hereby decreed that you no longer are bound by the obligations and ties of this pack and all affiliated with and within it are to hold no grudge against you for decision to be excommunicated from Wiennport. I personally, as both the female mate of Hess and Head Huntress, give you the necessary blessings required to live a happy life." She had never been once for formalities, but it seemed suiting, proper, that she dismiss her son with respect and love. It was worth it for the look of relief on her son's face, the one that she hadn't seen in several weeks. He thanked her over and over again. He crossed the distance between them and hugged her tightly. He didn't apologize for his coarse words, there was no need to. He free from it all. He was finally free from the worry and guilt that had been plaguing him. He kissed Sasha one last time and told her to please explain to the others before he paused.
"I love you" He said.
"I know you do, baby. Please, be careful out there. Follow your heart and don't let anyone tell you you're not good enough. Remember just where you came from and who you are." Sasha said. There was so much she wanted and could say to him, but she refrained from the overly mushy comments that she felt bubbling up in her throat.
"Goodbye, then, Sasha" He said.
He then turned his back to the pack he and walked forward with a new future.
He traveled the Kloteck lands for the following weeks, exploring and getting to know the life of a loner dog a little bit better. However, he soon discovered that his life no longer had a meaning and that he felt he lacked a purpose. So, he began to talk to the other dogs he encountered and soon enough, it had heard of two packs that seemed suiting. The first was Rakine Port, but he hadn't really been one for the sea. The other was a place called Hallow Village. It fit. It was a town and would have both people and dogs. So, he made the journey there over Dante's Pass and soon, he found himself in the village. He bumped into a female there, a scout, by the name of Stevie (literally, he tripped and landed half on her).
