Read the first three books. I FEEL SO ALIVE!!!
OH. MY. FREAKING. GAWD. PUH-LEASE JESUS- send me one of those vampires.
There is a god! His name is LARTEN CREPSLEY.
I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm okay. Lord Crepsley has CRUSHED Edward and that is Cullen blood on the wall there. Don't lick it. You'll turn into one of them. I'm okay..................................... *dances de happy dance* NO MOAR SPARKLES!!!
/end-insanity
Alright soooo.... the movie was nothing like the books and so the bearded lady was almost -nothing- like her character. Perfectly casted, badly acted. It's like they took the first four or five books and mushed them together into one BIG opening act, but it was well-shot. I understood the general story line, could get what vampanese were without them having to explain it to me completely. They knew we were relatively smart human beings and we could fill in the gaps ourselves. And yes, I do look forward to any and all sequels. It's all okay if you remind yourself that they have a timeline to stick to and things do need to be twisted and cut short.
As for the books themselves, I've read the first three... in one night... -12 hours, I'm guessing-. I could NOT, for the LIFE of me, put that book DOWN. EXCELLENT and -omg- ORIGINAL storyline. No were vs. vamps and straight up AWESOME dark humor. The ONLY thing that bummed me out was that the vamps didn't have fangs. Which, in the long run, I guess -is- pretty smart... So they don't get found out when -IF- they smile. And I -could- go in to the fact that they don't give too much detail of the characters (such as facial structure so I could DRAW the darn things!), but it -is- a children's/young adult's novel, so I can't really expect /that/ much...
All things considered, I have just three words to say...
.........

.........
READ.
THOSE.
BOOKS!!!!!

.o. oi, now i'm wondering if it was incredibly smart of me to recommend them to ya, Taggr. rofl, though they are better than twilight, no sparkly romance, butterflies and fairy disco balls masquerading as vampires. This is my opinion, of course.

Meh. I would have read them anyway. I've wanted to see the movie ever since I saw the previews and I would have eventually found out that it was a book. I ALWAYS make it a point to read the original writing. ^.~

EXCITED ARE YOU SIR?
I'm a bit interested in seeing it. Read all but the last book when I was 12 or 13. Gonna have to try to convince my sister to go see it with me. >>

Yeah, I know what you mean. Went to see it today and still unable to sleep. It's nearly 3:30 am and I am still creeped out.

It's just... unsettling. It's hard to describe lol.
I was the same for a couple of nights, Ina. Especially since I've had a couple of experiences in this house |: Got home in the middle of the night after I saw it too.
