26 and 27 inches are just a little over 2 feet, so yes, that would fine:).

I wasn't sure where the measurements are... measured... I suspect the shoulder, but I'm not sure.
I am currently making a character who is a Maned Wolf and 3 feet at the shoulder, but she weighs 50 pounds while it says that the weights for that height can range from 80 - 160 pounds. (heh. I also got the measurements off of a website.) Is this acceptable?

Note: This chart will be updated soon, as the heights need to be lowered a bit.

.:: *Not to sound rude or anything, but Kahvie, you need to lower the height of Nightshade. The height to her species is wayyy to big. Gray/Timber wolves don't even normally get past 2.5 feet let alone get up to be about 3.6 feet, thats like.. awkward. Especially if she's pure Timber/Gray. 3.6 Feet is HUGE for a Timber wolf, I think it needs to be lowered.. my opinion. =/ Sorry if I sound rude or bitchy or mean. I just find that... so off, Timber wolves don't get to be that tall, if they get tall.. really tall, its about 3 feet, nothing really above that, and even 3 feet is kinda unusual for a FEMALE Timber wolf to be. But.. you might just want to take that into consideration. There's no way she could get to be that tall unless she has a mix breed in here that MAKES her get that tall.. But if she's just a pure Timber/Gray, you need to lower it. Thats so off.. )= And it makes me sad! D=* ::.

Koara, this is a place where we roleplay wolves and dogs speaking, and having other human qualities, it isn't supposed to be all that realistic. The website and comic belong to Kahvie, she made them and the characters the way they are for a reason, and doesn't need to change anything about them. Nightshade, as Kahvie explained, is tall for a wolf, and is probably that way for a reason, she has been for a while, so changing it now wouldn't be the best idea. It's not exactly 'polite' to go on someone's website and pretty much demand that they change they're height standards, and tell the members to change they're own personal characters when they were accepted by the people who run the site. Besides, Kahvie stated directly above that she wanted to low the heights anyway.
Please, don't get me wrong, in no way am I trying to be rude or mean about this. I just wanted to state my point, and make sure you understand why Kahvie can have Nightshade whatever height she wishes.

And the dires at BBA are whole feet too huge Not to mention the bright colours and various other unrealistic and anthropomorphised features. Just like 9 out of 10 characters have a mysterious and/or horrendous past, it's a feature of many RP's. The point there, here and on many other RP's is not to create something real-to-life, but interesting characters. As it's obviously a topic that irritates you, feel free to direct your frustrations at the rant board. While you're at it, why don't you post on the introduction fourm or an RP topic?

Yep, as I've already stated above, I already know that while Night is a tad large, the heights need to be lowered. The heights on the current chart were a mistake on my part, and were never meant ot be that big. In other words, I'm quite aware that her height is too much for a timber, as I used to read a lot on wolves and the like as I was growing up. I just haven't had the time to update the chart, what with commissions, trades, and a surgery coming up for me. Thanks for pointing it out, anyways:)!
