The male sighed, yawning at the same time, the action stretching the marks on his face all the way back to the end of his ears; white streak on crimson, followed by gray. For the moment, he had turned straight back into himself. The lazy, hippie wolf that didn't mind almost anything. That was, until, someone caused ruckus and squabbled, dissing each other, and then you would see him right up in the conversation.
The sounds of paw pads colliding with the ground not far from him caught Tyvek's attention. Seconds later, Revolt came into view at the front of the den, exhaling a deep sigh as he came up to the two. "Sister, maybe one day, we shall be like the great eagle, but for now rest, my dear." His tone was soft and loving, nothing but purest concern entered his voice as he kept closed eyes on the slumbering female that Tyvek had grown to like. But it was what he said, that the crimson male couldn't understand, and fully, it was beyond his comprehension. He wouldn't ever, and so he let it pass away without much thought.
Suddenly, Revolt's gaze was upon him. Those green eyes sticking the very words straight into his face. Trust, Hope, but most of all seen, was Courage, and it struck Tyvek as odd, a feeling he had never felt before as those eyes gazed down on him. Sure, he had felt all of those emotions before, it was just that he could almost see the thoughts playing in the other male's mind, it took on the form of worry for the sightless fae. Maybe it was his thoughts, or maybe, it was just the Timber's imagination.
But as he himself looked back at Revolution, he was thrown back into the past, as though time itself was taking him and sticking him back in some distant memory. It was a fuzzy one, and he could not make out anything other than a large, white wolf. A scared elder with a single, blind eye on his left side....But not matter how hard he tried, he could not recollect the memory.
"Life is so unfair to her, past and present times are troubled for the impaired." Tyvek's gaze was still nestled on the female at his side, and his heart sorrowed at the words that came from her brother's mouth. It was true, life could be unfair. But the crimson male was always good at finding something positive within any situation, but now, he could not think of anything. "Isn't is so cruel that she cannot be trained?" It was that very last sentence that got his attention, the very words that brought back his memory. Now he knew who it was within his thoughts, and he might have said something then, as a hopeful smile was shone on his face, and yet, what came next shocked him into silence.
"We were born a small forest with our mother and father, known to us as Rebellion and Freedom. As she grew older, my eyes began to see things, but she often told me she could see nothing. One day Father inspected this and asked her what she saw.Sadly, she saw nothing for her blindness. He grew enraged and my mother fled with all of her pups." The he paused, and a thought of sudden dread came over the male as he listened, hanging on every word.
"Revolution was separated by accident while a hunt and we could not find her. My mother, sadly passed on after worsening health. The seasons were cruel and I never saw her, but I managed to survive. I thought that she too had been lost from his world, but now I know she's alive...." That voice trailed off and out of the corner of his eye, Tyvek saw the orange male wipe away a tear. Then, unexpected to the Timber, Revolt reached over and nuzzled his sister, whimpering when she didn't respond, and in such a way, that Tyvek himself reached over and nuzzled her, as if he was trying to wake her up from her slumber that looked as though it wanted to take her from this world.
Revolt's voice came again through the darkness of the den, and came through to the male's ears loud and clear, spoken openly. "I hope I can take your word for it, as this place is very creepy at night and I feel so uneasy about her being out like this" At this, the Timber couldn't quite suppress a smile, even a small laugh, even if it had not meant to be funny. Still, it was good to have time for laughter. "Tyvek, promise me that no matter what happens, we will see one another again."
The male nodded, ears pulled back, tail flipping from side to side. As he spoke, he looked back down at Revolution. Oh, god, she looked so beautiful when she was sleeping, and the temptation to smother her with kisses was hard to resist, but his words were truth. "I promise."
