She stepped through the brush to find a better viewing position, leaves slipping off her white coat harmelessly. The fur was too thin and, well, silky for anything to be caught in it- as long as she didn't go through thorn bushes or brambles. Very few could come free of anything after walking through a thorn bush.
Tail twitching ever so slightly, she noticed the male growl and jump to his feet, facing her general direction. Sig felt somewhat rude for causing their conversation to be interrupted, as it had seemed to be a nice bonding chat, but she couldn't say she was sorry. Instead, an unobtrusive smile curled on her black lips and she stepped into the small clearing that stunk of blood and dead prey.
"I am the one who you are addressing, Sigrun Frida. So I am in Sallin territory? My humblest apologies, but you should have your borders more clearly defined."
Her voice was quiet, but clear and well-mannered, soft and smooth as her coat. The only thing remotely disturbing about it was the lack of tone, lack of emotion and meaning. It was sincere, but there was something missing, and she had noticed before that that made a few uncomfortable when they could not pinpoint what it was.
Her maw dipped in a low, respectful bow. Though they were not quite as tall as she'd imagined, they were still- at the very least- a foot taller than her. So when she stood straight again she had to tilt her head up to see the male's face. My, was he a scruffy-looking one; it looked like he had some sort of fatal disease! If this was the normal Sallin wolf, perhaps she could've gone without meeting any.

Her thoughts were cut short by Rat as he leaped to his paws. Smartie was startled by this and she too leaped to her feet immediately. However the sudden movements caused the female to strain some leg muscles and she winced as the searing pain shot through her legs. Then the presence of another made Smartie look up. She growled lowly beneath her breath, and moved so that she was beside Rat, although standing slightly behind him. Her ears swayed as she listened to the others voice. "I am the one who you are addressing, Sigrun Frida. So I am in Sallin territory? My humblest apologies, but you should have your borders more clearly defined." Smartie continued to growl at the other female, and her growling only became louder as Sigrun peered into Rat's face.
Smartie leaped forward, stepping between the two wolves, and she growled at the white wolf. " Is it not obvious that you are in Sallin? It has a distinctive scent to it, but you have clearly not recognised this." Smartie spoke with a harsh tone and she held an icy stare upon the other." Don't look at his face like that, that is very rude of you. Don't think you can barge in here, tell us that our borders are not well marked and then stare at my friend in the way that you did. You're on our turf now..." Her lips wrinkled as she spoke, her maw drooling some saliva that spat out as she spoke. Her scruff fur twitched and her tail flickered angrily behind her and she moved one paw to wards the female.
Smartie had ignored the gentleness of the other wolves voice, she had come into the lands and began to act rude to wards Rat. Smartie peered at the white wolfs face, staring at her eyes, anger reflecting in her own. Her paws gripped the soft ground beneath them for the knowing of being firmly on the ground. She stood in such a way that defended her weak points, such as her throat or her stomach. Her ears flicked around on her head as her growling continued. Smartie's tail had become erect behind her now, and her muscles were tense, as she waited for the reaction of the other wolf.

Both were growling now, though she couldn't really understand why. Wolf etiquette was somewhat hard for her to understand- really, any etiquette was slow to learn as she had not met any creature for so long. Perhaps she should have run, or shown more fear? Maybe she was supposed to be on the ground, eyes down, tail listless. It was most likely something simpler, however. Sig felt a small degree of annoyance at that.
As the femme spoke of Sallin's scent, she lifted her nose to sniff at the air in thought. Distantly she brought to mind the rough map of the large area most knew about, the area that others called Kloteck. She had lived in the forest, somewhat near the Synl... but she had strayed away from there and traveled through the generally forgotten packlands. She knew that they were claimed by someone, but that pack was apparently too trifle to worry about. She had travleled through there to here... The scent must've slowly changed, and though it had seemed distinct at one point, her mind had already gotten used to it.
It was then she noticed that the femme had started speaking again, something about being on their turf. She lowered her maw to look at her, and they locked eyes. Her own gaze was blank and indifferent, while she seemed slightly angry. The femme was also standing in a defensive position, just like the male. Really- did they think she could hurt them? And why would she? It was obvious that the odds were in their favor, and Sig supposed she looked far from insane. Habit? Maybe.
Now, what to ask, and how to ask it without igniting even more silly rage.
"I have given you my apologies... Hmm. You are both full wolves, correct?"
She had heard that the Sallin accepted no dogs nor half-bred wolves, so this assumption should be right. But she could not smell much past the scent of blood, and it wouldn't hurt to make sure.

There was a shuffle in the bushes, a flash of blue was seen shooting off, had there been someone watching?

A sinister grin passed Rat's lips, he liked Smartie's tough demeanor. But as Sig responded with such adacity he couldn't help but sour. It wasn't well defined?
With a snarl the male clawed his back legs against the earth, a common marking, "Is that good for you? Or should I spray as well?" his voice was deadpan and slightly mean spirited, But he wasn't going to attack the stranger, well not at first, not unless he could talk his way out.
"Don't we look like wolves?" Sure one was striped, and he was pox'd with patchy fur and aged mange wounds, but both of them carried the crisp lines of sharp featured wolves. it was plain to see.

Rat's voice came to Smartie's ear, and her growling quietened down to allow him to be heard. Smartie glared at the female with her tail flicking angrily behind her. The striped wolf then moved from between the two; Rat and the female, so that she now stood by Rat's side.
Smartie had caught glimpse of what appeared to be 'some beast watching' in the trees, but nothing had happened here, nothing of great importance so far, so she let the wolf get itself a head start before she came looking for him. I bet it is one of those Synl wolves...
Smartie could not help but roll her eyes at the female who asked out of the subject questions. Such as asking if we they were wolves. Before she could reply however, Rat had answered to her, and this told Smartie that he was taking control over the situation. That was fine with her seeing as the was the sort of wolf to try and detect a challenge coming from another, and then embrace that challenge with parted jaws, and pearly white teeth.
To avoid any possible fighting, Smartie remained quietly by Rat's side, standing a little closer to him that what seemed appropriate. Smartie was feeling very defensive of him, and she did not like the presence of this other female.

She nodded slightly in distant satisfaction as the brute clawed the earth, disregarding the more rhetorical statement accompanying it. Sarcasm, was it called?
“I’m sorry if that question seemed rude, then. I was simply making the fact definite. There are some breeds of dog that look more wolf-like than this, and half-breeds seem to be fairly common as well.”
Her offhand, blunt answer was still said in a quiet and polite way, as if she didn’t know that it could be taken as an insult. She considered her own statement for a moment.
“Of course, the Sallin allows only pure-bred wolves.”
This was a subtle question, but instead of waiting for an answer, she watched for a reaction. If there was a flicker of uncertainty in the dark eyes of either wolf, then that would say the Sallin has had, at the least, a half-bred. And that would definitely be interesting. Even a small pause could say that it had been considered before. As she waited for a reaction, she noticed the femme inch closer to the brute, too close. Her head tilted to the side in quiet curiosity.
“Are you two mates?”

The slim wolf would have laughed if he had known he was refered to as a brute, her sarcasim wasn't lost on him, it just hadn't been appreciated at the time. He smiled his oily smile, not one bit sincere as he looked over the dog, "It's true, some sully their litters with half breeds and mongrels, but that's of no concern to me..." he trailed off and kept his intent stare on the female, while seeming more protective now that he felt he was watching Smartie too.
"That's true, but wolf is more than blood, some creatures called wolves are more docile than any dog...and that's such a pity. " Rat chuckled dangerously. "So I wonder, are you a wolf in dog's clothing...or just a cur looking for a handout before we rip you to shreds for sullying our territory?" He looked to Smartie a second looking for some bit of response, to make sure she was with him on this. He waited for a response from Sig like any 'muscle' waiting for an answer, his body tensed and ready to pounce for the wrong one.
“Are you two mates?”
Rat looked as shocked as if the dog had asked if he had been neutered, who asked that honestly? The turst, sour look on his face melted into an awkward snort and a shake of his head. "Um...no. We just met." his ears tucked back and he shifted uncomfortably. Really, who asked that? , he wanted to say, but he had to keep the facade going. Mr. Tough-guy. Ha.

She listened to his response, nodding slightly in agreement. All living creatures could be mean, and all could be sweet. It didn’t matter if they were wolves or dogs. But as for what she was... A wolf in dog’s clothing? No.. She was just her. She was a dog. She was Sigrun. There wasn’t any category to put her in; there was no race that was emotionless.
She blinked at his reaction to her question. It was a simple question, though she supposed it may have been off-topic. But they were standing close together, and they were packmates, and she had simply been curious. But it could be taken as a personal question... She’d have to remember not to ask anything like that later. Oh well.
“As to your previous question, I am me, and I would prefer not to be ripped into shreds. I was simply curious about the infamous Sallin.”
At this she bowed slightly.
“And if you wish, I’ll leave the territory and be on my way.”

Smartie turned her head and looked awkwardly at Rat and she moved a bit away from him, throwing a nasty stare over Nightmare. Her eyes were narrowed, pupils like slits. Scruff and tail bristled slightly and her lips parted. Pearly white teeth glinted in the fading light of the day; saliva dribbling along ebony shaded lips. The silver streaked female angrily stared at the female. I'd love it for you to leave the pack, actually. she thought bitterly. Who is she to go prying around other wolves businesses?
Smartie moved two steps closer to the female, her eyes almost boring into the others, as she tried to lock eyes with her. Her scruff ruffled as her head moved back wards and she snorted at the female with her nostrils flaring. Then she had a thought and she turned to Rat, ignoring the she wolf. Her eyes shifted around and she looked around to her sides, and she moved her head near to Rat. Her eyes glinted some what as her lips parted to speak.
Soft gentle voice came out in an almost silent whisper, so that the other female may not hear her. However it was possible that she would, she was indeed within hearing distance." This wolf might become useful to Nightshade. She seems determined to join though, even if she is a little off topic." Her voice was lowered to a gentle murmur now. " Personally, I want her out of here. but if she becomes a spy or a warrior, then she might get killed. But that just means that we can use her before she dies. We don't Synl taking in the new meat now do we?"
Smartie turned her head to face the female, and she grinned at her through clenched teeth. Indeed she may prove to be of some use to them. Then again, if she tried to run away due to hearing this comment from Smartie, then so be it. Rat and Smartie would chase her down, tire her out, and then kill her. They had consent to do so to any intruder. And she was intruding.
[ Short - if you can call it that. Carppy - most proably. brain dead x.x ]

Sigrun looked up as the femme moved away from the brute, giving off quite a nasty air. She blinked as the other then stepped towards her, glaring down, narrowed eyes malicious in their gaze. Had she offended the wolf that much? Her own stare was blank as their gazes locked, and then the wolf moved away, stalking back towards the brute. As she watched black lips lift in a grimace to speak, she took a small step forwards herself, ears pricked to listen. And then she realized that the femme may not want her to listen, and it would be rude, and that she would offend the two wolves even more.
With a sigh, she retreated back again to sit, eyes glancing about the forest scene. The day was growing old, and the night was starting to take over, last few rays of sunlight reaching desparately into the clearing as they tried to find something to hold on to. The trees were just far enough apart to run easily through, though gnarled roots and brush could slow one down. The blood had dried, and the carcasses were eaten to bones and less. A fresher smell was returning, though it would not be fully cleansed until perhaps a rain. Hmm. Perhaps it would rain tomorrow. The plants looked like they would appreciate a shower.
As the femme's head turned to grin darkly, she looked up in subdued interest, one paw absently batting at a fallen leaf. She supposed they were whispering about what her own fate was to be. Really, perhaps she should be afraid by now, but the emotion was absent and she was as content as she had been before trotting into the Sallin territory.
"Have you reached a conclusion, then?"

"Kill her or hand her over to Nightshade, it makes no difference in the long run." Rat had grown tired of this, his face painfully deadpan, his expression unreadable. "Either way its no good to have her running off to Synl, or any other pack. I'll let you choose, a nice perk for being the new female on the turf." As he spoke an ever so rare smirk of honest amusement and consideration crossed Rat's face.
((No, no, I think mine was crappier, sorry, its a bad post, but my poor rat-rat died today))

Smartie turned, grinning at the she wolf. Her eyes glinted in the light, and a cool breeze swept through the lands, ruffling her neat pelt. The leaves from the trees swirled around in the spiraling wind streams that blew high in the sky. In that sky, were grey clouds and the occasional patch of space. Through clenched teeth she spoke; in a rude, harsh and warning tone.
" Hmm. We indeed have reached a conclusion. Seeing as you came barging in on us, asking rude and off topic questions so much, and mainly because you are another runt female, I'll give you three seconds head start, out of Sallin." The silver and grey female stared hard at the other female, and her fur bristled. Her tail and head were now level to her body, and a nasty snarl emitted from between her clenched teeth. It was more of a frightening growl than a snarl, as the female wrinkled her nose.
I don't want another stupid female in the pack. All they do is suck up to our males and put the daft brutes off their duties. Smartie continued her nasty grin at the female, who's intent was clearly to join them in Sallin. However, to Smartie she did not seem right if you will, for such a notorious pack of wolves, such as this one. Toned muscles rippled up ones slender leg that was placed forward on the ground, and a snarl again did come, however more louder and fiercer than the previous ones.
" Start running now wolf, if you know what is best for you. We will catch you, and we will kill you. Don't be stupid now..."

[ Smartie is no longer part of Sallin. She has only been here for a while, but I don't think this badass evil pack >D suits her personality well. Sorry guys! So, I am outta here. You can continue RPing without me, but sorry if I ruined the thread X3 ]
