OOC (( i appologize before hand if i do this wrong))
Lucian had been traveling for many days. His paws were starting to go numb with a dull pain that barely phased the black timber. His ears were held in alert position as he scowled the ground for any form of food. His stride was silent, with each paw he put down gently he arose another. This was a tacktic that his elder had tought him to become stealthy for any situation.
He lifted his lime green eyes to gaze across the horizion and near by landscape. He took in a lung full of chilled air along with many other scents he did not completly recognize. His ears moved to the sound of movement by anything in the territory. He stopped his travels and stood motionless as he assesed his surroundings.
His jet black fur was ruffled by the cold air as a deep breeze made its way through the lands. His jet black hair swung around in the direction that the wind blew as he focused his eyes ahead of him and his ears to a faint sound to his right. His tail was held between his hind legs as he stood there as if he were a statue.

This day was particularly peculiar. Not often did Arnlan experience winds without the rain, but today, they did. Grey clouds rolled harmlessly along the sky, blocking the light of the fading day. Around one blew a pelt of midnight black, covering the eyes of the she wolf, preventing all from seeing them. Sofika, stared along the horizon from a high rock, were she was exposed to the wind. It ruffled her pelt but she did not flinch not stir. Remaining still, her nostrils twitched and she turned her head slightly and glared at the border. There, was a wolf, who's scent had come to her alert. Sliding down the side of the smooth boulder, Sofika shook her frame and made a quick haste to the wolf.
Despite the winds being so bad, voices needed not to be raised to be here. Licking her lips, the Alphess did, as she approached quickly, without a sound, nor with an expression upon her face. What was this wolf doing, hanging around the borders, still as he were? Why was his call not echoing in her hollow ears that were erect on her head. Snorting slightly, the female came to the brute and glared at him through the tuft of fur that hid her eyes. Why so still? What was he waiting for? This, she was unsure of, however ideas had already accumulated in her mind. Spots of the neon blue colour appeared to glow, almost, on her maw as it rose in the air, and the female spoke.
" You there who intrudes upon these lands, what is your name and what is your business here." called the female, thrusting her nose to investigate the brute's scent. He appeared not from another pack of wolves; he had no scent to indicate such. Gently shaking her head, Sofika made her way around the wolf, moving clock wise in a circle about him. She studied his pelt and build carefully, and then halted in front of him, staring, silently, without any more words. However patience she may seem to be and was, waiting for an answer for such a simple question, was not on her list of things to do today. Better things had to be done, than sort out a possible intruder. If he was however seeking acceptance, all her plans for the day would indeed, have to be put on hold, to show him the ropes of Arnlan.

Lucian's eyes gazed to the upcoming alphess, he sensed this by her approach to him and soon after the tone in her voice as she asked him his way and his name. He stood motionless as he slowly moved his head in the direction that she was strolling around him, seeing if he would be a neuscance to the clan or possibly an ally. As she circled around his other side he slowly moved his head in her direction and watched her again. He made sure not to make direct contact with the general appearance where her eyes would be, considering her ranking in the clan; he thought that would be highly disrespectful and rude of a new commer to do so.
He lowered his head and his ears lowered as well in a subordinate fasion as to not offend the alphess. He also lowered upon his haunches more so that not one part of his body stood higher than any one part of her. As he lowered himself, in turn he was silently and internally examining his possible new alphess.
"I am called Lucian, mistress. And i am in search of a place to serve and be part of; as of now i am a simple rouge with no place to feel unified." His voice was low, calm, and fitting of his stature.
Once he stated his name and his purpose he lifted his head slightly to see the response that the alphess was to give him. He did not show any sign of fear, agression, haste, nor any other potentially threatning or degrading expressions and emotions. He was simply there and stated his wants. He was fully prepared for what might happen. He had heard many tales of wolves and dogs alike wondering into the Arlan Territories and never returning. This sounded like a much better plan than to live out the rest of his life with no structure to his future.

"I am called Lucian, mistress. And i am in search of a place to serve and be part of; as of now i am a simple rouge with no place to feel unified."
Sofika examined the wolf as he followed her circumference around him. Did he not trust her? Did he think she was going to what, pounce on him perhaps? A smirk rolled on the Alphess' lips as the reply to her question was short and quick. Lucian, odd name. It was obvious to her, even though he had not said; I wish to join your pack and serve you; she knew what he meant. So as not to cause any misunderstandings, she allowed it to pass for the time being. So he lived to serve did he? As did they all who wished acceptance into Arnlan. This, was a fact, and it was indeed true. Only recently had it been, had another wolf come to join them, giving themselves up to serve her, and her brother Karolek. It gave her great pleasure that wolves travelled in search of these lands, to give up their lives for the sake of the pack.
" You live to serve, Lucian. " responded Sofika with a blank tone, and an expressionless look on her maw.
A question was what that was not. If one could hear her tone correctly, she was stating, Lucian was living to serve. Rolling her shoulders, the slim female moved around him in a tight circle. The black pelt of her blew around her skinny body, giving her a slightly larger appearance. Ebony nose of leather twitched and she decided that he would be of some worth to Arnlan. If he was not fit for anything, he could be used as scum. The wind was certainly picking up, and the clouds did not look to be giving up their cups of rain as easily as they would normally. Her prediction was that the clouds were being forced away from the lands; then again, darker clouds were headed his way. Rain would soon follow.
" Where were you, before you came upon these lands. "

Lucian stood back up to his full height, his large muscular body coated in thick black and white grissly fur. His attention was fully upon her. In order for him to be accepted as anything in this tight pack he was going to have to prove himself worthy. He questioned nothing in his mind, although he was wondering if this small framed, yet highly reguarded female was attempting to intimidate him or simply getting a closer look at his akward appearance. He continued to follow her with the motion of his large head in sink with her traveling. The same wind that had made her appear much larger practically did the same for him, but he stood still. Not even the chill of the cold wind and sense of upcomming rain made this strong male flinch. He prided in himself the fact that he was indeed fearless and had great strength. This he was tought from his elder when he was younger.
"i come from the unmarked territories seeking acceptance; and with acceptance comes servitude. In a sense i am giving you my servitude."
His expression remained calm and there was nothing tense in his stance or tone. His muscles moved just to make out the words that he so calmly spoke. He held his tail down low as to not set off any uncalled for attack beacause of his simple misunderstanding of this new place where he finally felt somewhat at home and comfortable.
"I have been traveling from lands far to the east. I have stopped in the territories between here and there and have found nothing to my graditude. I was not fitting for such places. I heard rumors of this clan being strict and silent. Such is the life for a rouge much like myself. I am not much into being 'free'. I do not wish to lead, or even become someone of high power. I simply follow orders unless otherwise noted."
The large black and white wolf took in a deep breath as he looked at the smaller female for a response and did not move yet again; although he shifted his weight a tad by moving his hind quarters into a lower possition and his forpaws closer together. His expression was that of a soldier awaiting orders for a war. He had this look upon his face often and many of the others did not like that quality within him.

Sofika watched with slight distaste as the wolf rose and eyed her. Noticing how he seemed to observe her, and not speak until spoken to, she figured that he had already proved some form of loyalty to Arnlan. She too had not flinched to the wind and merely shrugged it off with her shoulders that rolled with each movement of her slender legs. The neon blue of her maw spots appeared to glow almost, in the faded light of the day. The sun was dying to break through the veil of clouds however it failed to doing so. The dark trees that lined the border on which they stood were somewhat of a camouflage for such a dark pelt, that coated Sofika. Her form seemed to blend in, as she stood with them behind her.
"I come from the unmarked territories seeking acceptance; and with acceptance comes servitude. In a sense I am giving you my servitude.
" I see. If you are sure that you wish to join us, which you certainly appear to do... ."
Sofika turned to face the shadows, and now her spots of blue were not shown, her form would appear invisible, if it were not for a faint sliver of silver, outlining her tender body. She would see were his loyalties lie. For now, she would direct him to the mainland, and then, then she would get on with her daily business of maintening a secure perimeter of the borders. This one should courage, although he was not admired for it. A first impression was always made out to be good. Whether or not he was truly confident in himself, only time would tell. Flicking her tail up, she slowly walked away from Lucian and then she stopped several strides later, and glanced to him over her shoulder.
" ... You see that tight parting in the trees before you? Follow through there, and run straight ahead. That will bring you to the main land were you will remain. You can, explose that area, but do not go near the border. Understood. " she said briskly, waited for his reply, and when it came, she would make her leave.
The main land, as the Alphess so called it, was were she sent all of the newly accepted wolves. It should be clear that he was to remain there, and to not stray too near the dark trees, that were the edge of the territory. A sigh escaped her lips as she glanced up, and a slight downfall of rain was to occur soon, to accompany this strong wind. Smiling somewhat, her chin rested on her shoulder almost, as she remained, waiting to be given some form of thanks for granting him membership. So much she could be doing, and yet, so little time.

He made a small smirk as he heard her voice call to let him into the mainland. This was exciting for him, although he did not show it outwardly. He nodded and lowered his head in thanks to her; his bright lime green hair flowed infront of his eyes and atop his muzzle as he did so. When he arose, the large black wolf strode to her distincly, yet calm and very cautious. His ears were perked and was making sure of the sounds comming from all around him. The light drizzle almost giving him a glistening shimmer to his black frame and almost exectuating his white markings. He still kept his tail low and as he strode past her he made sure that his head was lower than hers but yet looked ahead and all around to make sure of any danger.
"thank you mistress,"
He stopped and looked over his shoulder to her. His look unchanged except for a mere sliver of happiness appearant to her.
"may i know the name of my alphess?"
He replied to her with a simple question so that he may call her by her proper name occasionally unless she wished to be called mistress or alphess. He stood silently awaiting her reply, and with that he would bid her fair travels and head to the mainland where he would await her appearance yet again.
(( sorry so short. gotta go ^^ bback in a week))

" Thank you mistress. "
Sofika gave an acknowledging nod to him as he bid his thanks. Often did she hear that, but not often as genuine as that she figured. Turning away, she slowly walked along the border, glancing here and there before stopping and thrusting her nose at the ground to investigate a peculiar smell. This was in fact, the scent of a potential meal. Wrinkling her nostrils, flicking her erect and bristled tail around behind her, she lifted her head to look back at Lucian. Grateful he was, and again she nodded to him, and sniffed at the air. Spring. It was a beautiful season.
" May I know the name of my Alphess? "
" Sofika. " replied the Alphess, who was now facing Lucian, as his coat, like hers, became matted with the drizzle that fell harmlessly from the sky, descending with the wind that blew it around. Her fur was damp, and so it no longer blew around her so casually as it did only moments before. This meeting was rather brisk, felt Sofika, but she knew it had taken up a great deal of time, postponing her afternoon's work. Not that she minded at all. At least she would not go to sleep after wandering around the pack lands in search of something to occupy herself. Not that that happened often.
" Lucian you may address me by Sofika. Now go, off to the main land with you. "
With that, she turned away, and began a gentle trot along the wet terrain. Today she had been feeling somewhat more relaxed and kind. Perhaps it was the weather. It was strange to see, as she had thought before, wind with no rain. Now that the rain was here, she was content, knowing that they rest of her day would indeed be pleasant. With a final glance over her shoulder, Sofika wandered off into the short distance, leaving Lucian to make his own way into the center of the pack land.
