((ooc: my first real rp in Anrlan! I will be rping Tokokuni and I don't really know what to do with this so join in if you want to!sorry this post is so short but I can;t think of anything right now!))
Tokokuni's pale violet eyes drifted across the horizon, her nose lifted, testing the breeze for any thing she found out of the ordinary. Bracing herself, she hopped into the forest of Arnlan, wondering where the other wolves were. It had been an easy journey to the main lands, and Tokokuni had been practically bubbling with excitement. Still, she kept her head, knowing She shouldn't appear too overjoyed to have been accepted here. The memory of Akisame's test was still fresh in her mind, and she knew she would face similar challenges on the road ahead. She could only pray Arnlan wolves were friendly, or at least accepting. Never before in her life had she had a real friend, a true companion, someone she could look up to, or someone who could look up to her. No one had ever required her to be social or part of a pack, seeing as she'd been a sort of loner up until this point in life.
Sighing slightly and shaking her head, she bounded through the drifts of frigid snow, the trees around her looking almost foreboding even in the pale glow of the moon. She knew it was getting late, her strained muscles and tired eyes were already warning her of that, but she would need to find a safe place to rest before she got any sleep. There they were, her old feelings of caution, but she tried to shake them away, she was a member of a pack now…she had no reason to fear these wolves, or so she hoped…
She glanced up at the glowing moon, the looming shape hanging high above her head in the midnight sky. A feeling of tranquility washed over her as she stood there in the silence, understanding that for once she should be friendly, not wary. Again she continued her trek onward, new feelings of courage rising in her heart. From what she'd seen so far, she knew Arnlan might be a bit tricky to get used to, but she told herself it was nothing she couldn't handle. That was probably true, for she had been through quite a bit during her lifetime. This was only another challenge, another test, but this there were more players…

With the sky dark and the forests mute as they had always been, ArchAngel moved swiftly along the soaked terrain, glancing here and there. A sliver of silver outlined his bulky body as he swaggered through the looming trees of black and brown. His nose of ebony leather was thrust to the earth, hovering slightly over it, being brushed by the odd poke of grass that protruded through the patches of snow here and there. His eyes were scanning left and right as a scent unfamiliar to him wafted in his nostrils that flared excitedly. A female, he could smell, and her scent was still strong. She was nearby. Faintly, the distinctive scent of his sister loomed around. Perhaps they had encountered one another? That he was unsure of.
The brute with the black fur along his back and across his face like a mask stopped and raised his head. Now he was in an opening in the forest, where the moon light shone weakly behind hanging clouds that floated harmlessly in the night. Stars were twinkling up above, but he failed to see them as he dashed forth, leaping gracefully over a fallen log, that was encrusted with moss and several bugs. Who was this who's path he had crossed? From what he had gathered, it was indeed a female, with a scent rather weak Arnlan scent. A newcomer, he thought, grinning from ear to ear as he emerged from the bushes. What would she think of him? Would she be frightened on his sudden, noisy approach to her? Maybe, he wondered.
Arch was trying his best to avoid thinking of his packs demise, and of his sister, Akisame, who he had yet to encounter in these lands. He knew she was in the territory, had seen her a few times, but had not never had the guts to approach her and say hello. What would she think anyway? Would she say, oh no it is you? and start asking him if he had finally gotten over the past that so wretchedly haunted him? Hopefully she would not, because soon he was going to find her, and speak with her. So what of this wolf? She appeared to be new, and glowing with happiness, but why? Why was she so happy? Licking his lips, he shuffled around on the cold earth as water seeped through his hide fur, soaking the skin on his behind and lower tail.
Saying not a word he stared merely with no expression upon his features. He remained mute, watching her from his seated position. His fur ruffled in a gentle breeze that swept the cold, dark lands of the Arnlan territory, and he did not stir to it. To be honest, he did not know why he had followed this wolf. Maybe it was because he wished to speak with another female before confronting his sister to let her know of his presence within the lands. Rolling his bulky shoulder he sniffed the air, inhaling her sweet scent before wrinkling his lips and yawning. The night was here and he was tired if only a little. Darkness. How it was everywhere. But what was the point of its existence? Why did the shadows taunt him so of his past, forcing the male to somehow think of what he could not do to save his friends as they fell into eternal darkness; their death. Shaking his head, he waited to be noticed in silence.

Tokokuni tensed when she heard a sound behind her, the grin vanishing quickly from her face as though it had never been there. For a mere moment, she hesitated, wondering who could be stalking her in the shadows, hoping they were not some rough wolf searching for more proof of her abillities. The memory of Akisame's acceptance test was still fresh in her mind, and it only made her wonder more what exactly these wolves expected of her. Yet she understood letting her mind fill with such thoughts would be nothing but a wase of time... With a final reluctant sigh, she whirled around to face the other wolf, kicking up flakes of white as she did so. Her eyes blazed with determination, the moon's eerie glow spilling over her silver pelt and cuasing it to burn like a blue flame. Her eyes held the same fire, her tail swishing out behind her as she looked into the moonlight. That was when she spotted the other wolf. A hulking body of shadows came into her view as she squinted her eyes for a better look, barely able to make out the other creature. Her eyes grew wide as she looked him over, seeing the same look of strentgh as she had seen in Akisame, and the look of something else she couldn't describe. Maybe it was remorse, or agitation, but whatever it was, she'd seen it in the blue wolf as well. She wondered if all wolves in Arnlan had that look in their eyes, or maybe this wolf was aqquainted with Akisame. Whatever the reason, his eyes slashed at her confidence in a silent manner, cuasing her to shake her head. She was a part of this pack now, fearing its members would be one of the stupidest mistakes she could possibly make. "Hello," she said in her soft, yet strong voice, "why have you followed me so late at night?" She awaited an answer, hoping she hadn't said anything to anger the other wolf. She had done just as she had with Akisame, chosen her words in a silent manner to be sure whatever come from her mouth would not anger the other wolf. She cocked her head ever so slightly, anxiously awaiting an answer, wondering if this wolf would become a friends...or a foe...

The female's bewilderment made a grin roll along the brute's lips as she turned so quickly. Her pivot was swift, but the fluster of fur and snow that twirled around her made it him chuckle mentally to himself, with his lips now dropping into an expressionless feature. Ears flickering, he watched the wolf as she looked somewhat angry due to his presence, and he laughed all the more mentally. All he had done was sat down, and so what was the need for the drama? He did not know. Shaking his maw, wrinkling his nose and then flicking his tail, he rose slowly to his feet, if rather sluggishly. Water dripped from his flanks and the bottom of his tail from sitting on a particularly wet patch and on snow. Not that he mind nor took notice.
" Hello... ...why have you followed me so late at night?"
Her soft voice did not make him smile. No, the wolf knew that she was scared somewhat, and she seemed to be wavering in her words, due to some sort of confusion that grasped her body. Moving to wards her, the brute, silently began to circle her, saying not a word. Oh why was she so small, and why was she confused? Did she not understand that he was another wolf, who wandered so randomly around the territory of Arnlan? He wanted a reason for her reaction, but could not think of one, but still, did not want to confront her, because she had given him no reason to speak with her. Yes, she may have asked a question, but he did not necessarily have to answer to her, did he? No, he thought rather bitterly, and continued to circle her, observing her lithe form.
Still no words were spoken as he imagined her fright. Was this how his pack had felt when they had fallen without mercy to their enemies? Their pleading eyes, her confused eyes, their eyes, confused of the situation. How he could relate to such an incident he did not know, but disliked comparing her with his old friends that had passed away so degradingly. With a low growl erupting from his sealed lips, he stopped walking around her and turned his attention to the sky. He sighed. Where they watching him now? From up there? Was that where wolves went when they died? To the sky? To the stars? ArchAngel wanted to know so, but this was a question that would be answered hopefully upon his death. But, thinking back to when the wolf turned, it had been several minutes now, and cold hard tension rattled through the atmosphere, but it did not stir him. No, he was a mute wolf, dwelling only upon matters of his concern. He did not recognise her, but her eyes told him, she somehow saw something else in him.
" I was not following you. " the brute snapped, glaring at her now as he looked over his shoulder to her.
How dare she accuse him of stalking her? He had not. Merely, he had been wandering the lands when her scent, mixed with that of his sisters swirled to his flaring nostrils, and so he had begun to investigate and came across her. Such cheek he did not want to tolerate, but did, as he would any female, and she pointed his nose high into the sky and walked in front of her, with his eyes shut. Each paw step was heavy; smashing the ground, causing water to ripple up his slender legs of grey, and along his side. What now though? Would she try to over dominate him with quick words that were actually, pathetic insults that he would brush off due to lack of thinking time? Thinking time was important, he thought, maybe she knows this, and will pause for thought on her words. Or, she could be hasty with herself and anger him more. And he waited, calculating a reaction in his mind.

Tokokuni's ears were pinned back upon her head as she watched the brute of a wolf come to a standstill before her, wondering what she should say. Her pale eyes were wide, but not with fear, more with curiosity. She'd only been in these lands a few short moments, and she already knew why they were considered such a mysterious pack. The expression on the brute's face was something she would never be enabled to read, her confidence slowly ebbing away. Her mind swirled with thoughts, and she scrambled to keep hold of her wits, trying to find a single thought, a single truth she could grasp, something that would calm her shaken state. A chilling shudder ran down her spine, but she did not know if it was from the cold, or the wolf standing before her. "Why do I feel this way," her mind buzzed with questions as her vision began to dance before her, the images suddenly darting about in a sickening fashion, ," is this fear…or something else…who on earth is this wolf? Is it his fault I feel this way? I can't stand this, what is he doing, waiting for me to say something?" Tokokuni let a light gasp escape from her lips, shaking her head as to bring her visualization back into focus. She wouldn't go so far as to appear weak before this wolf, it didn't matter how intimidating his appearance was, she wouldn't lose her nerve…. "Not one for answering questions eh," she said coolly, sidestepping slightly as to walk around the wolf. With a swift bound, she was beside him, and for a split second, their eyes met, then she took another step forward, and broke the perpetual bounds that came only with such silent contact. Her heart skipped a beat, her body tensing, knowing something was seriously erroneous with this creature. Every time she looked into those dark pools of mind, it was as though she was looking right through him, like she could see his thoughts, read his emotions even as his face denied their surfacing. She saw anger, and the bitter sensation of pain, a mind overwrought with thoughts too complicated for her to even begin to make out. With another shake of her head, she gave a deep sigh, a puff of misty air erupting from her maw. "You're searching for something," she said quietly, knowing the wolf was listening even as her back was turned, feeling the sudden awkwardness of the situation, "you're dwelling for to much on the past, your troubled feelings do not evade my eyes even as your face remains solemn. Tell me, lost warrior, what is your name…"

His presence was indeed, somewhat frightful. His dark eyes laid not on her, but to his left now, where she would fail to see to what she would like to; his soul. The light sigh that brushed through her lips went unheard to the male of grey and black, as he stared bleakly away. Was she preparing herself to speak, and so had to take such deep breaths to say it? Well, Arch felt somewhat lost to that thought. Maybe the tension was biting her, and so nervous and anxious, she was wavering with her words? Whatever her reason, he was not one to speak a word unless he honestly had to, and if he even felt like it at that. Oh how he loved to be in perfect solitude; silence. He loved the peace, and preferred to be on his own than the company of others. But alas, he was enjoying this moment alot, especially with the rising fear could he say?
" Not one for answering questions eh? "
Obviously not, he thought, as he threw a bitter glance her way. If he had wished to answer her question, he would have. But he felt his words were best not wasted on a beast such as she. That was the way he felt to others, who put the tag of stalker on his chest, because he had simply crossed the path of her.
Moving away as she bounded by his side, he threw his nose into the air and a quiet hrmf escaped his pouted lips. Pulling back his ears he sat with his back to her, flicking his tail in agitation. Oh this game he was enjoying, and as he went along and witnessed her reaction to each part of the play, he mentally laughed. Pathetic he knew, having nothing better to do than to mess around with a little wolf such as she. Alas, ArchAngel needed something to distract his thoughts away from his demise, and his sister, Akisame. Was she near? How long would it take for him to dig her out from beneath the darkness that was of this territory? Soon he would find out. For now though, he perked his ears to listen to what this little wolf had to say to him next.
All the words that escaped her words were invalid at this point. She could not see into what was not there. His eyes were not to her, never where, and so what she assumed could not be said. Tokokuni's words, were not possible, and simple to that. And so ArchAngel remained seated with his back to the she wolf. How could she know from seeing him from the first time, that his thoughts dwell ed upon a past so horrific? Despite the fact that Tokokuni thought his personal thoughts could not evade her gaze, they had. And he was not a lost warrior, and he would not tell her his name, because she had not asked him that question nor spoke of what she had just done. No one could say such words. Perhaps not even his half sibling.
