blinding light [Acceptance]

it was mid day and an snow storm had just passed, the sun finally broke out from behind the clouds and shined down on to the snow. an dark she wolf could be seen weaving this way and that threw the deep snow. the glare from the snow was making it heard to see and the she wolf often ran in to things and stumbled over things hidden in the snow. the dark she wolf finally came to an halt and let out an huff of hot air as she just plopped to the snow covered ground under and leafless tree. she would rest till the sun ether went down or went back behind the clouds, there was now way she would be able to keep going with out hurting her self more then what she had already had.

the sun was out for a few more hours but soon went back behind the clouds, the dark she wolf rested the whole time with her eyes closed. she was lucky the glare didn't blind her. the dark she wolf finally got up and shaked the snow out of her thick coat and went on walking. the place looked so uninviting and gloomy what with all the trees with out there leaves and darking sky. Ayame stopped in her tracks as an scent that was covered from the snow finally came threw and up to her nose.

"hmm it would seem I stepped in to an packs territory"

she thought as she sat on her rump and thought and bit more on what to do about it. she could just turn around and go back to where she came from or she could stay there and try to get in to this pack and see what it has to offer her as an home. Ayame's fluffy tail flicked side to side as she thought it over. finally after a few minutes she stood and lifted her head to the sky and let out an howl for any one that was near to come and met her. Ayame sat back down an waited for some one to come and let her find out if she was fit enough to be let in to this pack.

Crow barely needed to strain her pale eyes as she glared at the sun. Though it was at this time of day was when it shone strongest, much of it’s rays were blocked by the heavy ebony branches of the Arnlan forest. The sepia female’s morning had mostly consisted of patrolling, but when the sun heated up the land’s more sparse, rocky borders she had retreated into the sheltered interior.
Having had her fill from the pack’s stockpile of pre-slayed game coupled with the gloomy cloud which returned to its position across the sun’s face, it was time for her to return to her duties.

It was half way back towards the territory’s boundaries that the high-pitch song of her species reached thickly-furred ears. As she listened to the sound bounce off the fresh snow, Crow snorted softly. At least she wasn’t currently occupied, as seemed to happen on many an occasion that came to be at a newcomer’s arrival. At least she had returned to health, too. The howl’s echoes bounced across the fresh snow, though it did not take long to locate the direction from whence it came. Crow’s feet flicked out from beneath her as she broke out into a canter. The call was not too far off, though near the border as it was, and one who knew the twists and turns of Arnlan’s paths as she would be quick to find the source.

And that she was.
It was not long before the scent of the new one had drifted on through the trunks of the giant trees and to the Sentry’s nose, making tracking even easier. Her footfalls were light as usual, leaving only shallow footprints in the show. Crow’s nostrils flailed and ears twitched as she ran then – suddenly – the black pelted newcomer appeared. Her size, midnight pelt and even the small blue markings reminded her so of Alphess Sofika, though piercing golden eyes and foreign scents told her different.

Out again her paws were thrown, but this time the pressure upon them forced them down into the thick layer of snow, forcing the rest of her body to quickly halt. Out her forepaws were lifted, flicked clean. Her eyes raised, meeting the other’s. Though it was impossible for her to vocally question anyone, a quirked eyebrow and questioning look asked Yes? Well?
