Trinity…Trinity in Arnlan…
*It had been a few weeks since the misfit had made it into the elusive pack, and the langue was coming a bit easier. Listening had become her greatest pastime, weather wolves knew it or not. This langue she was learning was so much…softer…while her previous tongue consisted of lots of guttural noises, this one was gentle. She could understand more than she could speak, but slowly, it was coming to her*
Yes, good…
*The snow…well…she had gotten a bit more used to it. The long, almost coat like black fur that streaked her back had helped with that. She had noticed some days ago that the last smell of the ocean had almost left her tawny body. There was a bitter sweet feeling to that. The ocean had been Trinity’s favorite part of her home, but the nightmare of being swept away was also connected to the smell…Ah well…tiny front paws played in the snow in front of her, knotted symbol on her forehead shining in the pale, winter sun. Today was cold, no doubt, but not anything like it had been. It was because of the good weather that Trinity ventured out. It was always nice to perch yourself somewhere and practice words.*
Hmm?
*Trinity’s head swung around as a large raven perched itself on one of the rather numerous dead trees. With a ruffed throat, it began it’s nasty call. The harshness of the black corvid’s call always reminded the petit wolf of her old langue, so with a devious smile, she turned to the bird, lowered into a play bow, and responded*
Ca-Caw! Ca-caw!
*The raven, understandably, didn’t quite know how to take this greeting. With another racious call, it took flight, leaving Trinity to roll in the snow, laughing her cares away*

Pollux had been lost in a sea of her own, one of her own confusion, she had hadn't been active, there was currently, no reason for her to be out on patrol again, away from her homeland that brought her such memories, good and bad.
She had been franticly running rampant around the packlands, keeping herself busy. Trying not to think about her loss. She had been gloomy and moody most of the afternoon until she heard a wolf cawing like a crow.
The sound perked the scout's attention, making the old female inch her way towards the tawny female playing around. She put on a happy facade and barked a greeting at Trinity.

Wha?
*Trinity rolled her body back up to a standing position. Her black backed ears perked forward at the bark. A brown hued female was inching towards her. With another twinkle, Trinity barked back.*
Hallo!
*The tiny she wolf also began walking towards Pollux. This was the first time someone else had initiated a greeting…well…expect Sofika…and this was WAY different. Perhaps a friend. Someone to buddy with. Some one to keep her company. Trinity stopped before she was face to face with the wolf, not being that brash. She sat down, still smiling, black fringed tail wagging across the ground*
Hallo!

Pollux slid smoothly through the foliage, a sleek metallic streak towards the other female. "Oh hey, you must be the new wolf i heard about...Trinity right? Hi nice to meet you, I'm Pollux." she spoke quickly, without treating the other gal any different than she would any other wolf.
Obviously she hadn't gotten the memo that the foreigner didn't speak the local tongue. But she was pleasant towards Trinity.
"So how you liking it around here?" she lifted her ears curiously, her tail perked.

Pollux. Yes, nicely met.
*Trinity’s tail began dancing again. What a nice wolf this one seemed to be! This was really the first wolf who had talked to her…next to Sofika. And THAT was less than a pleasant meeting. The little wolf really hadn’t tried to hard though. She would see gatherings of others, all laughing and talking with each other, but when it came time to trotting up to them, she would lose her nerve. The girl was naturally social, loving time to chat and laugh. But for obvious reasons, she was worried about rejection. She really couldn’t keep up well in fast conversation. But she had gotten better. Sitting on the sidelines and listen. That’s how she got the majority of her new words.*
*The new wolf spoke. A little quick, but she got some of the words. New. Trinity. Like it here. That was about it. But it was enough. Trinny got to her feet at smiled at Pollux*
New yes. Like it well here. Very different.
*Her black backed ears flicked back, and if the girl could blush, she would. Trinity knew well that that what she just said was not a proper sentence, and she hoped that it was good enough. She looked up with a sheepish smile, green eyes shining and little knot on her head scrunched*

A wolf of simple words, she could appreciate that. "Ah good good, I'm glad your having a good time..." The scout shook her head as something snowy fell out of the trees and plopped clean on her head.
With a sneeze Pollux found herself looking at the strange newcomer, she looked awful awkward. "So how have you been? " She stated with a hint of concern on her features.

*Trinity smiled and listened as Pollux talked. It was so nice to have someone to talk to. Most others were uncomfortable around her, seeing as though without common tongue, a conversation is hard. But this metallic female was casual, sweet, and didn’t seem to care at all that she was new at this. A rustle in the trees indicated something Trinity had leaned the hard way. Snow may be light and fluffy by itself, but together, it was enough to bend tree branches. Just as her paws shifted…PLOP! Pollux now donned a new wet and white cap. Trinity laughed, sending silvery notes into the air again. It wasn’t out of mockery, but pure, simple amusement. It didn’t even once occur to her that it could be taken the wrong way.*
Snow’s tricky, no? So light…yet….so heavy!
*The little female dipped a paw into the snow, and gingerly, brought it back up, a tiny accumluation on the top of her paw. With a little huff, she blew it off, creating a glittering, swirling atmosphere. Trinity smiled again, and gave a friendly wink . The tiny newcomer listened intently to Pollux, trying to catch every word.*
Ah, yes, I like it here. Lonely sometime, but mostly good. I’s enjoying your company.

At the sight of the female's laughing, Pollux looked murderously serious. Staring at Trinity and then, as though like magic she began laughing along with the brown wolf. She had only been joking with the girl.
"Yeah...like everything else...dangerous when there's a lot of it. Like a wolf pack...one wolf isn't that powerful, but a group of them is...funny." she shrugged and took a few chomps of the fresh stuff, sating her thirst.
Ah, yes, I like it here. Lonely sometime, but mostly good. I’s enjoying your company.
The blunt and honest words Trinity spoke struck Pollux some. "Yes, it is pretty lonely here." she said quietly, shaking her head. "But I like you're company too...thanks"

*Trinity laughed again, light and silvery as before. This was truly a special day. The first time she had ever taken the time to meet someone in this pack, and vice versa. Hopefully, she thought, this would last a long time. The new wolf got back to her feet, showing how small she really was. Her smile never left, and her emerald eyes sparkled in the reflecting light*
Pollux, want to walk? Good day for walk…
*There was obviously no place to swim, at least not in this temperature. Trinity was used to exercise, and the lack of water made her bones ache. Walking would be the best solution. The foreigner took a tentative step forward, hoping her friend would come. She didn’t know about jobs, or duties, for she had not been assigned. So the thought that Pollux just might have something to do never occurred to her. Her fringed tail raised high, a black and brown standard leading the way.*
(ACK! I’m so sorry I forgot about this thread! *smacks self*)

Pollux nodded, it would be a nice day for a walk, atleast not everything was frozen solid, and soon the thaw would be on them, of course then...THEN Trinity would have her water, and a good share of mud too.
The Scout trotted along, seeming to keep a stern eye on their surroundings, if anything it was a good excuse to inspect the territory, make sure everything was in good form.
"What was your old land like Trinity?" she had known that the little wolf was foreign, she had mannerisms that the worldly wolf did not recognize, they were alien to Pollux but interesting, after all, it was the Scout's job to know about other pack behavior.

*Crunch turned to slush as the walk went on. Arnlan was frozen, but just begining to show signs of thaw. The tiny forienger was thrilled to have company, and this Pollux seemed to accepting, so kind. Feathered tail flew in the air, expressing her joy just as much as her smile was. Her 'tour guide' then asked about her home, and a thoughtfulln look passed over her face, furrowed brow distorting her knot. So much to tell...yet so little words to tell it with*
Well, it very far away...at least...I think. Very small, size of packland. All around it is...is...
*She knew this would happen. Trinity would begin telling her story, and then loose a word. It wasn't that she didn't know the word, she did. It just slipped away from her tounge. Her ears pinned back in concentration, and her face filled with embaresment. What was it...water. But water wasn't right, that could easily be misunderstood. Two steps were taken, and then she froze for a second, trying with all her might to remember. Then, with a triumphant yip*
Ocean! That is it! Tiny land in ocean. Many less wolves, one pack only. And...well...
*Ears flipped back once more as Trinity looked up at Pollux, and apologetic smile gracing her face*
Different word.

"An island, in the sea?" Pollux mulled over the idea, very odd that the tiny female had made it to Arnlan in one piece. Auspicious even. "That had to have been different, much different that Arnlan, bordered by so many strange packlands.
"It must seem odd that there are so many packs here in Kloteck, eh?" the Scout pussy footed around some of the mud that Trinity had fallen in, making sure she didn't get herself all dirty.

Ah, yes yes. So many families, so many packs! Only one at home. No room for more!
*Trinity skipped a little bit, avoiding another slushy mud puddle. After seeing her traveling companion walk around one, she decided that maybe being clean made a better impression on Pollux. She cocked her head and smiled a bit. So different, this female. LIke a puzzle, and the little girl was having such a hard time cracking it. Well, no more time for beating around the bush. With a friendly gesture, Trinny lifted a paw and gently poked Pollux's shoulder. NO matter what, it seemed as though the she wolf would always use her paws to talk, a habbit she picked up even before she washed ashore.*
'Nough of me, so what of you? You always live in Arnlan?
*The glint in her emerald eyes should have shown her true intent. Nothing nosey or upity about the question. Trinity just wanted to know. She was never one to wait in the shadows for answers. She was the apitimy of the extrovert, and, in true form, was never afraid to hide it*
(Short..short...*wilts*)
