(That's all right, I understand busy... ^_^)
Enya's smile came back quickly as she saw that Teak was exaggerating his limp. She was slightly concerned that he might be injured, but that was because she was a big worry-wart sometimes.
"This is it... isn't it?" he asked unsure, Enya stopped, grinning.
"Yes." Enya couldn't wait to begin. Hopefully they would have a successful trip. "Shall we start?" Her eyes sparkled with excitement. She was glad that they came. The smell of fish reminded her how much she liked it.

“Yes… Shall we start?”Teak nodded slowly, panning his line of vision from one side of the area to the other. He had not noticed the look of excitement in Enya’s eyes – all he concentrated on for the moment was the rumbling noise growing in the pit of his stomach. It was a forest of legs, really. And lots of yelling, bartering… Teaks oversized ears flopped against his neck as he pinned them back in vain. It was all too noisy! He pouted, but proceeded forward. His limp was quickly forgotten as he crept through the hubbub, largely ignored. The sights, lack of space and smells (though most of the subtler ones almost blocked by the smell of fish) had all distracted him from his rather minor wound. It only took a few moments before the thief had spotted what he wanted – a crate, low down and stocked with some large, plump looking species of fish, their blank, lifeless eyes staring up from a bed of moist seaweed. The stall owner was in an animated discussion with a rather stressed looking young woman over prices. He was distracted, the area was crowded with the flow of villagers coming and going, and the food was in easy reach… It had not taken long for Teak to realize from his ‘hunting trips’ that this was an ideal, and all too rare, situation. Had the other seen what was going on here? Maybe she had seen something better, wandered off. He flipped his attention back to where he thought Enya would be, causing his large leather collar to swing around limply. Was she there? Grab a fish each and get out of here – that’s what needed to be done. Try to avoid detection. He’d be glad to retreat – it was starting to feel all too claustrophobic here. [Psssh, at least you’re quick about posting ]

Teak began quickly, and Enya didn't have time to catch up before he disappeared into the crowd. So, knowing that he could probably take care of himself, and that they would probably meet up again, she went in another direction, watching a large man carry a weak crate. She knew that if he fell over fish would spill everywhere. But the thing was, that was one strong man, and he wasn't over weight. Whatever she was going to do it would have to be quick, the man was drawing close to his destination. Fast as she could she brushed past his legs, tripping him. But something went wrong, but crate didn't fall apart. The lid had fell open. She had to snatch it quick before the man got to his feet. Quick as if chasing off a wild dog from sheep, she leaped toward the open crate, but the man stepped in her way. Harsh words made her rear to a halt. Scared that he might hurt her she lowered her tail. Then an idea came, a tall scrawny man was coming over, wondering what was going on. Quickly she ran to his side, as if she knew him.
It didn't take long for the two men to begin arguing, which left Enya with an open crate. She took a fish and disappeared from the two. And the like her previous event, luck lead her toward Teak. Even though no one was paying any attention to him, he stood out. As fast as she could she trotted to him, seeing if he got anything yet. (Only when I can.... I used to be so incredibly inactive. . . D:)

Teak was startled as he spotted Enya, fish already in mouth. She had already got her prize? He had not noticed her disappear, and hadn’t noticed at all the time that had already passed. Oh well – all the more reason to hurry up and grab his own.
Teak shuffled closer to the crate, muzzle hanging hungrily over. His nose crinkled up. Seafood certainly smelt odd. As he clamped his jaws about a particularly juicy fish, it took some kind of mental resolve to stop him spitting it straight back out. Bleh. He hadn’t realized how strong fish tasted. He had had fish before though rarely, sure, but that was when he was a pet - it was so different cooked. But food was food, and the phrase beggars can’t be choosers was certainly true of street dogs such as he. Really, it had been an easy meal and there was little to complain about.
Way too easy.
Teak found himself drifting back to reality with a roar. The woman the fishmonger had been arguing with had gone, and now the large man’s attention had fallen to the thieving mutt. Experience butted in again, telling him that this could not be good.
“Mmmf![/color]” Teak skidded on his heel, turning about back to Enya behind him. Though his mouth was packed by the large fish, his eyes screamed ‘run!’. Why did taking food from humans always have to be so eventful?

Seeing the humans stop arguing to look down at Teak with disgust and anger, made her chuckle, thinking how funny it was that it took them a long time to notice.
Looking up to see Teak running and the humans chasing him, she ran after Teak, realizing that with a fish in her mouth, the people would know that she had stolen something today as well. Enya hurried as fast as she could, a little clumsily she knocked over a couple barrels, falling off her feet. For a moment Enya dizzily looked around, as if waking from a dream, but no- there was a couple barrels on her. She was still here. The people didn't see that she was still on the ground, thinking that she was still running with Teak. Shaking her head slightly she stood up, not sure where Teak went.

Teak did not feel the humor in the situation that Enya had. He'd taken his time, not concentrated enough, and was paying the price. He'd remember that for next time...
The clattering of barrels as Enya fell only worked to propel him further foward, adreneline forcing him on faster than what was probably safe in such cramped conditions. The shock and fear detered him from looking around to see what had happened.
He forced his attention back to what was in front of him as he skittered around leg after towering human leg. Why did there have to be so many of them? He was barely avoiding bumping into them as he brushed past. Teak forced himself to look over his shoulder to check what was happening, regreting it quickly as the momentum made the fish's cold, limp tail slap him gently on the cheek. He stood out sure enough, but it was much more difficult for the portly fishmonger to manuever trough the crowd. The mutt was gaining ground.
The flash of mottled blue-grey darted his head side to side as he ran, the forest of legs now thinning. A cluttered avenue... it'd do. He skidded about at the last moment, turning sharply into the side street. He'd left it a moment too late. His side smacked into the messy brick building that served as one boundry of the street, and a sharp gasp escaped his maw in reaction to the pain of it. The fish flew from his mouth, landing with a Slap against the cobblestones a couple of feet away. Teak sunk to his feet, gasping for breath. He shook all over, only now really taking in what had just occured.

Seeing the fish a few inches from her mouth, she picked it up. Enya blinked again, the dazzed feeling had mostly faded. Suddenly worried that that was the last time she'd see Teak, she began to stand up, wriggling from the barrels. Another harsh voice of man came to her ears as they hollered at her for knocking their barrels down. She quickly moved away, looking for any sign of Teak. But it seemed as though the whole village had forgotten the whole affair had happened.
After a while of not finding Teak, she sat down in an ally and began to lick the fish which was simply begging to be eaten. The tired border collie submitted to laying down while eating. Glancing around, she still kept half an eye out for the dog.

After a moment's rest, Teak shuffled back into a more upright postion. His legs curled up under him, balancing the rest of his body against the ground. He stretched a forelimb out to the fish and, digging in his claws, dragged it back to him.
Enya didn't reppear. For a moment he thought about going back out into the bustling streets to look for her, but quickly wondered why that thought has crossed him. He didn't really feel like going back out into the main streets, not with all those angry humans about now. Perhaps he'd bump into her again... He's like that. She had said she recognised him after all. There was a chance...
He leaned foward to take an almost regretful bite from his prize.
[Just wrapping it up]
