Allegiance (Kahvie (Sonny and Nisse?))

The Beav's happy points launched up very high when Kahvie practically mauled him, and he found it hard to keep on his paws. He laughed heartily, eyes dancing with cheer as he tried to return the shower of licks with equal heart. It really was wonderful to see Kahvie again.

But.

When the explaination came... well, first of all, he glanced untrustingly over at Stranger-Dog Deymon when he was mentioned, but his like-points for him went up a little when he heard that he wasn't too goodie-goodie about Sallin either.

But.

"We're gonna travel together to Arnlan to try and get them on our side as well, so since I haven't seen Nisse in a while, I was gonna ask you watch over the pack..."

What? Leave him behind? And let this stranger-dog go off on adventures with Kahvie? Without him? His ears drooped down, pull against his slim skull so much it almost hurt. He lowered his head, eyes widening in a mix of hurt and pleading, gleaming with would-be tears. His tail whipped from side to side edgily, lowered as much as his head. His bottom lip quivered, pouting faintly. And to cap it all off... he let out the kind of whimper that made one believe they'd just kicked a helpless, newborn puppy.

Really, were there words to describe what expressions could?

The mutt's eyes widended, helpless to keep herself from staring at the sad sight that was her begging friend.

"Beav, no...I...urgh...stop! Dammit!"

As the borzoi continued his pathetic display, Kahvie looked over nervously at Deymon. She'd already proven one of Synl's alphas was unprofessional, and now Sonny was just adding to the damage.

"Well...if it's alright with you, I guess both of us will join you Deymon."

Whether Deymon agreed to let the other male join them or not, Kahvie allowed herself a second or two to glance over and give Beav a disgruntled 'you'd better behave yourself' look.

With all his might, Deymon had to force back a laugh when the alpha male of Synl began to pout. Thinking back to his time with humans, the Geeran Alpha thought he had stumbled into Neverland where no one ever grew up. He wasn't complaining at all, however. It was refreshing to see such youth governing a pack. Being laid back himself, Deymon approved whole-heartedly of this pair, even if the other male didn't trust him fully yet.

"Beav, no...I...urgh...stop! Dammit!"

Deymon allowed himself a quiet chuckle, which probably could have been suppressed a bit more. He hoped the alpha pair of Arnlan were as fun as these two.

"Well...if it's alright with you, I guess both of us will join you Deymon."

A small laugh escaped him as he nodded before he was able to say anything.

"Should we tell your Beta?" he asked with a grin.

Beav's happy points starting going right back up at his best buddy's possibly reluctant agreement. Well, it didn't matter. He was going, and that was the only thing that was important. He got that feeling that Kahvie wouldn't stay too mad at him... hopefully.

At her verbal giveaway that she was letting him come, even if it wasn't directed at him, he gave her a nice, long, wet lick on her cheek, tail wagging furiously once more, in a good, happy way. Because happiness was wonderful and made the world go around. Hopefully, his happy would make her happy. "Aw, don't pull that mopey face, Kahvs! You're gonna be so glad you brought me!"

But right when Stranger-dog Deymon attracted attention to himself with his words, Sonny went right back to glaring at him. He was going to be their new adventure partner... dang. He was just going to have to deal. And in turn, Mr. Stranger-dog was gonna have to deal with Sonny. And if he couldn't, well, shame. That would make him just as fun-hating and boring and overall dull as those other males. Meh. Right now, Sonny was totally happy with verbally ignoring him. Hmph.

As her friend gave her a slobbery, cheerful lick on the cheek, Kahvie pushed him back gently with a muck-covered paw, a skeptical expression crossing her face as he verbally reassured her that she'd made a good decision in allowing him to come. Still, annoyed as she may have looked, she knew the Beav could tell it was simply a front; she didn't mind him coming along, especially since she still didn't know Deymon's mannerisms and overall personality too well yet. She just hoped there wouldn't be any confrontations between her two traveling companions.

As the larger male spoke up to mention Synl's beta, Kahvie turned to look at him, a deer-in-headlights look plastered across her face. As her brain slowly managed to process Deymon's simple question, the mutt's brow furrowed. She wouldn't be able to even begin guessing where her brother might be, much less tell him she was taking off. She knew of his romance with Sallin's princess, sure, but that fact was of no help. Nisse could be anywhere, and they didn't have time to wander around aimlessly looking for him.

"We, uh...we don't know where our beta is. I'll leave a message for him with one of our canines on the way out of the territory. Um...other than that, I suppose we're good to go."

"Well alrighty then, let's get this show on the road," Deymon announced, turning back toward the border.

He couldn't blame them for not knowing where their beta was. Tak was always two steps ahead of Deymon in everything. Somuch so that the Alpha completely gave up in trying to do anything and just lazed about with the members (before she came along to break up their party, of course).

With nothing now to get in the way of progress, Deymon put a little bounce in his step. Straight through his territory and on to Arnlan, giving a WIDE berth to Sallin. Hmm... Maybe they should pic up another traveling buddy when they got into Geera...
