((Note: Katt's nickname is Kisse, they are the same dog)) Katt was walking along the forest, rain falling onto the ground. Most dogs were seeking shelter, but Kisse was enjoying the bad weather. Which was probably the weirdest thing about her. She was looking for Beaver. Hopefully she would find him, she wanted to earn a rank. And she knew which rank, she wanted to be a messenger.
Why? She loved running, bad weather didn't bother her. . . And she was pretty good at remembering things. If she could find Beaver, or Kahvie, she might be able to carry out messages for Synl.. Katt was going to try and be an accepter, but she thought about it, she would be happier as a messenger.
The wind blew against her fur as she began to loose hope in finding him, he might be in his den, and unluckily for her, she didn't know where that was.

Having found proper shelter from the rain, Beav was curled up in a ball, his eyes sometimes snapping open when he heard something very loud, which included the thunder. Usually, this wouldn't bother him as much, but he was turning out to be on edge tonight. He swallowed hard as he saw a figure out in the rain. By the figure, it looked like a dog. The only thought that seemed to register to his half-asleep mind was that this other dog was looking for shelter with the others.
Sighing in exhasperation, Beav stood up and paced outside, flattening his ears at the rain. He shook it off, though not seeing why he bothered; more rain just soaked him again anyways. He came close to the female that he half-recognized, and yawned loudly, showing just how tired he was. Then barked loudly so she could hear him through the constant rain.
"There's some shelter back here."

There was a loud barking sound close by, Katt turned her head to see Beaver, a small smile came of the mutt's face. She didn't know why, but Sonny had a knack of making her smile. Even when he hadn't told a clever joke, there was something about him that always made her in a lighter mood.
"There's some shelter back here." Katt suddenly felt embarrassed. He must think she was insane for standing in the rain, smiling at him. But then again, there was a large chance that Sonny had already heard of her strange liking toward bad weather and expected her mood to be lighter in a storm. Kisse realized she was taking a while to reply.
"Thank you." was all she could muster, her smile fell, and she was back to normal. The usual expression on her face showed no liking or disliking as she dipped her head with respect. She gathered her wits and continued, "Actually, I was looking for you."

Beaver paused and flicked his ears at her reply, curious. Then he continued into the cave, shaking the rain from his fur. He turned back to her and cocked his head, curious. If she wanted to see him, it meant that it probably meant it had something to do with his job as Alpha. He sighed, the reminder hitting him hard. He didn't favor having such big responsibilities, but he'd attend to this dog's favor.
"Well, what's up? What can I do to help?"
(Sorry this took so long, the only comp I can post with likes to shut off, and I have school to work with constantly.)

Sonny sighed, he seemed to be tired. Was this the perfect time for what she wanted. Kisse knew she could wait for this. "Well, what's up? What can I do to help?" He asked.
"I've been looking to get a rank. . ." she said slowly. "And I think I've decided to be a messenger. . . if that's ok with you."
She wondered if Sonny had time to do this or not. She was sure that as an alpha, he probably had many things to do. It wasn't exactly night or early in the morning. So Katt had hoped that he wouldn't be too busy to see if she was right for the job.

Beav turned and studied her a moment. She looked like a good dog for the job. And there were no messangers, far as he knew. He sat down and flicked his ears in thought, considering the possibilities. He could say no, but what good would that do? Even if Kisse was the slowest dog in the pack, it'd still be nice to have a messanger. But she wasn't slow, not that he knew. And it was obvious she didn't care for weather conditions. She could carry messages even in the worst of storms...and she'd probably like it.
He nodded, smiling. He was sure Kahvs wouldn't argue at the fact they would soon have a messanger, so why not? He stood up.
"Go right ahead. It'd be nice to have such a friendly dog like you as a fast and reliable messanger, Katt." He shrugged. "Anything else?"
(Short thread...Maybe we could make it longer somehow?)

She waited for his reply, he seemed to be liking what she asked for.
"Go right ahead. It'd be nice to have such a friendly dog like you as a fast and reliable messenger, Katt." Katt felt a sudden warm feeling of embarrassment and pride. She never actually talked face to face with Sonny before as far as she can remember, and yet somehow through all of these dogs who come and go he managed to remember her name. And he had already said she could be a messenger. No test. No trial, no waiting. He said she had a rank. Just as easily as that, it almost didn't seem real. "Anything else?"
No not really. . . she thought to herself, but maybe she should talk to him. She tried to think of what to say. He may have loads to do. But she couldn't just shake her head and walk away.
"Thank you!" she finally decided to start. "Nothing else I need. . . I'm pretty easy to satisfy."
You're rambling. . . she thought to herself quickly.
"How are you guys doing?" she meant him and Kahvie, how they were handling being alpha. It must be tough being new to this amount of sudden responsibility.

Beav grinned at her easy satisfaction. Did this mean he was being a good alpha? He hoped so. His eyes glinted mischeviously at the small spark of confusion when he said her name. It was fun to be able to know most of the packs names, even if it took forever to remember them. Then he could act all-knowing when really the name and such had been included in a simple report from the other members. Rumors and stuff were actually quite useful when getting to know someone without actually getting to know them.
The simple thank you was met with an attempted scuff of the ears. Sonny was in a bit of a playful mood, and starting up a little play-fight would surely lighten the mood.
But his grin faded and the playful glint in his eyes faded at the next question How are you guys doing? He knew she was refering to him and Kahvie, who else? But it was a little difficult to answer. He hadn't really talked to his fellow Alphess/best friend on quite some time...he really didn't know how she was doing. And that dampened his mood a bit...so...was he ok by himself? Being Alpha of a big dog pack was hard...really hard. But he couldn't really tell her he wasn't having a good time with some of it.
"Busy...responsible...busy...a little lonely...a big annoyance...did I mention busy...?"
Well, it was.

Katt noticed his expression change from upbeat to stressed.
"Busy...responsible...busy...a little lonely...a big annoyance...did I mention busy...?"
She chuckled, through all that, he was probably looking for a more cheerful conversation. It was hard to think of one in such dark times.
"I see..... so I guess you'd be too busy to go hunt?" she asked, actually smiling. What was it about him- that could make her smile? Katt glanced at the stormy weather and remembered that the prey was probably hiding."Or something else. . .?"
She realized that there really wasn't much to do in weather like this. . . well she could find plenty of things to do . . . but nothing that might interest anybody else..

Beaver shook his head at her question. A hunt? In this weather? Tch, yeah right! But the thought of staying put just didn't seem too appealing either. So he looked outside and considered the options. They could...heh, heh...
"We could chase leaves...That's a whole bucket of fun in the rain!"
The thought was puppish, but than again, it wasn't like Beav wasn't childish at all times. So he really didn't care less.
"Or...something you'd like to do? What would you want to do?"

"We could chase leaves...That's a whole bucket of fun in the rain!" she chuckled after he said that, but sadly, not as if she was taking him seriously, no leaves were falling in this weather. "Or...something you'd like to do? What would you want to do?" Generally she enjoyed walking in the weather and talking about things that you wouldn't say to a stranger, like your past or what you have to say about how life is going. But that might involve going through her past, which she had successfully avoided during her stay here.
The rain began to slow, Katt swished her tail to the side. She had to think if something that wouldn't sound weird to him, she wasn't sure what he thought was fun because he hadn't met him before. "We could always see if there are any deep puddles and waterfalls." she suggested, "I heard some loud thunder, maybe lighting hit one of our trees."

Ooo, an adventure! Splashing in puddleds of water and searching for charred trees sounded like an appealing prospect...mostly because anything out of this cave right now sounded like a wonderful idea. And since the rain was finally starting to stop, it would be all the better. Beaver sniffled, raising a paw to his nose to stop from sneezing. Dang, he hated the cold...
"Splashing puddles, checking out torched old trees...sounds like the very definition of fun!"
His jester attitude was relaxed, far more since the rain has stopped. It seemed a perfect day this was turning out to be.

"Splashing puddles, checking out torched old trees...sounds like the very definition of fun!" Beaver said cheerfully, more cheerfully than before. She was glad she made him happy.
"Which way do you want to go first?" she asked, tilting her head. A big drop of water landed on her nose, from gathering on a leaf above her. She wiggled her nose, then lifted her paw to rub it. A cool breeze came through, Katt curled her tail like a husky. Though she looked more Border Collie, one of her parents was an Alasken Husky. Which probably what gave Katt her love for running and preference for cooler weather.

Beav laughed, his cheerful spirit finally shining through. Being with another fun-loving dog like him was only helping him to feel better. He winked at her, grinning.
"Lead the way, Miss!"
(Holy smokes! That is by far one of my most shortest posts ver! VERY BAD!! =C)
