Bozek ran as fast as he could down the path. Ahead of him the squirrel was doing it's best to scramble up it's tree carrying more nuts than was thought possible. With a leap Boz reached out his jaws to catch the rodent, but instead of the soft feeling of fleshy Bozek only felt a crunch. He had missed the squirrel completely and was now hanging by his teeth from a low branch. Releasing his jaws Bozek fell loudly to the ground.
"Missed again!" he growled glaring angrily up the tree whilst spitting out bits of bark. "This hunting is a lot harder from stealing. I'll just have to try again." Picking himself up he shook the dirt from his white coat. "I'll show those rotten squirrels I'm a real threat." His stomach growled loudly and Bozek knew he needed to get a little something in there. Lifting his muzzle Bozek once again scented the air as he had done several times that day, and once again he caught the scent of squirrel. Crouching even lover than his already short form Bozek crept to where his strong nose lead him. He leaped yet again, but the squirrel had already moved leaving Boz to plummet back down empty pawed. He'd missed again.
Landing with a loud fwump Boz hit the ground hard knocking the wind out of him if only momentarily. Now quite aggravated He scrambled up as soon as he caught his breath and rushed over to the base of the tree. "You stupid animal. Get down here so I can eat you!" He growl practically trying to climb the tree himself. "C'mon you cowards!" No sooner had that come out of his mouth than an acorn came flying down toward him hitting him hard on the snout. Bozek could here the chattering of the squirrels above, and though he could not understand them he was sure they were laughing at him.
With a sigh Boz trudged over to another tree and settled down. "I'm no use as a hunter..." he sighed laying his head on a patch of moss. "That's all there is to it. I guess I'll have to go back to stealing again..." He didn't mind that h had to steal so much as the fact that he had to admit he couldn't do something. "Some sleep will do me good. Maybe tomorrow I'll try the port." With that he closed his eyes and tried to sleep.
