In the other parts of Kloteck, no doubt the brilliance of the day was gladly appreciated, seeing as this was the winter months, and times were becoming cold, snow was forever falling, becoming thicker as the days moved on. Sofika gave a sigh, and slowly her tongue lolled from her mouth as she began to pant. This freak heat wave in the middle of the winter! No one would have suspected it to come. The temperature was reasonably high, and she only wished that it would drop. It was times like these that she wished she never had such a dark coat.
As she peered out across the gathering of wolves, her attention flicked to Lucian, and she smiled weakly at him. She had wondered when he would grace the crowd with his presence. Little did he know, she was not infact angry at him for not being with Ecclesiastes sooner. For the moment, she disregarded his words and turned her nose to face Olonai. It had been too long, but she still felt relieved that he was safe. " The knowledge that you are safe and well is enough for me to pardon your absence Olonai. Worry was beginning to come over me, as your scent slowly began to die within the lands. I am happy that you are still with us. "
The alphess smirked and glanced over the others for a moment. Ecclesiastes. Olonai. Both of these words came flooding into the hollow of her erect ears. Good, at least they were making attempts to introduce themselves. Remembering now that she had literally forgotten about Lucian, she snorted some to scold herself and turned to him with a face of seriousness. He wanted to know if he should take Ecclesiastes away now to begin his task? The alpha smiled at him. Enthusiastic, was he not? Looking at Ecclesiastes with the others, the female noticed that, with every word he spoke, he seemed to become more confident, if that was the appropriate word to use.
She knew it was unlike him to get into much chit chat. However, her call had been distinct. Everyone here had come of own free will, and so it was on free will that they may chose to leave. If anyone realised this, Sofika did not know. Slithering forward somewhat, she came to the green maned wolf and looked at him. Her smile was still there on her ebony lips, and she slowly moved to his side. Softly, she poke into his ear and threw a glance at the others. Surely heads would turn at the sight of her moving. Curiosity would get the better of them and she expected ears to perk to get every word.
" I do know, that everyone makes mistakes Lucian. I saw that you were ready to take anything that I threw at you to redeem yourself. You were willing to go days without food, and follow under the orders of another." The alphess turned her head to look at the hunter for a moment before raising her voice more for everyone to hear if they wished. "You come to me now, asking to go away with Ecclesiastes. Your enthusiasm makes me proud to have you in my pack Lucian. And so it is by your will, that I am canceling your task. You need not go through with it. " She paused for a moment, to observe his reaction to her words before clearing her throat and continuing.
" Again, I am glad to have you in our pack, and it is with pride, that I grant you the rank of warrior- the one which I know you had your eyes set on when you arrived here. This is not an easy rank to hold Lucian, you should be forever perfecting your skills in hunting, fighting and sprinting. It is up to you how you train yourself, but I know that you can do it. " Sofika then backed up from Lucian and looked to the others. She smiled, and bucked back her head and howled a deep one just for the new warrior.

Lucian sat still as he watched his alphess gaze over the pack and speak to others. She had other things on her mind than him, he understood that fact and kept to his position infront of her. His ears twitched with the light murmuring of the others and perked his attention to Sofika once she gazed his way again. He watched her intently as she approached him. The smile on her lips somewhat confused Lucian for he had not seen her do such a thing for such a long period of time. As she whispered into his ear he kept his gaze forward and focused purely on the words she spoke. Her voice was soft, yet still held the air about her being the alpha. He let out a light sigh of excitement as he moved his head to hers as she went to speak to the others."thank you mistress sofika" He responded with a smile upon his ebony lips as well.
He then stood and watched the others as well but his attention was still on the midnight pelted one infront of him. He was also shocked, and blinked in confusion at the hearing of the task being canceled. He simply stood there unable to comprehend the order just given. 'she canceled our task...did i do something wrong?' Lucian thought to himself, trying to figure out why she had done such a thing. When Sofika spoke of his title and that he was able to aquire it his tail began to wag, ever so slightly then to a full out wag. A fullhearted smile came to his lips and his self confidence grew immensely. Hearing her say that she was proud of him made him truely happy. He nodded with her words as she spoke on about him. With the last part being said Lucian threw back his head and gave a deep howl along side his alpha, but his was for all who were in the pack, without them there would be less of a reason to be a warrior and to protect. Everyone in the pack, MADE the pack and if he was going to get a celebration howl, he thought that everyone else did too.

As Phoenix watched Crow's warm, but speechless reply, she was caught puzzled, if only for a few moments. The sepia female had given Phoenix a kind enough reply through body language, but not through speech as she was accustomed to. Then her clever mind began right to work, could it be that it was possible that Crow was a mute? Those without the ability of speech were few and far between, but Phoenix had encountered a fair few on her misadventures. Clearly, this must've been a proper reasoning and Phoenix swayed her long, bushy tail a few times and smiled to Crow, nodding in acknowledgment and understanding.
Phoenix then turned to the know growing circle of wolves.Sofika. Crow. Ecclesiastes. Olonai Those were the few that she had already now encountered and gotten to know, if only just a bit. On the other hand, there was yet another pack member that had arrived that Phoenix did not recognize on sight, a dark wolf with a striking green patch of hair atop his head. She tilted her golden head in curiosity at him, called by Sofika as Lucian. Her blue eyes watched closely as he spoke to the ebony alphess of tasks and missions of which she did not know of and she deduced was indeed none of her business to begin with.
As Sofika walked forward to address Lucian directly, Phoenix remained in her seated position and only looked on, always the watcher, never the poster-child. The corners of her mouth twitched into a friendly smile as Sofika announced the news of Lucian's new ranking amongst the pack as the newest warrior. Phoenix agreed, according to Sofika this male's attributes had indeed made him worthy of the position and she sided with the alpha's decision of a good judge in character. As both the howl of Lucian and Sofika subsided into the balmy humidity, Phoenix looked on to see what action would take place next on the agenda.

Phoenix’s reaction had been quite the positive one. It often took others awhile to realize that the dusty looking femme did not speak out of inability rather than choice, yet it seemed the golden one had caught on quite quickly.
Eyesight was twisted all about from arrivals and bits of speech. Ecclesiastes! That was it! She smiled warmly to him, making note of each marking, of his pupilless eyes. Quick had he proven himself, and he continued to do so. It was quickly obvious how little he spoke, though this was certainly not a trait she would from upon. Eventually eyesight settled back upon Sofika as she greeted those who had just arrived, moving on to official announcements of individuals. Crow gave a small nod to her name, but listened intently for information on the others. It held little more than what she already knew. It was to be assumed that not much else currently held importance. She would have happily sat for days on end to listen to every little story that each of her packmates held, but it was not practical currently. Stories of the outside world intrigued her – all the descriptions of the world beyond the dark tree trunks and steep cliffs seemed so odd to one who had never been beyond Arnlan’s borders at an age it could be remembered. Perhaps eventually there would be time for tales. Crow watched the ebony and grey wolf from the corner of her eye. Olonai. Even the name did not hold familiarity, yet his scent… How long had he been in these lands? He smelt heavily of Arnlan, but then so now did many of the others. Had he an interesting tale to tell? She went to turn to him, a questioning look sparked in her eye, but she was quickly interrupted by the arrival of yet another.
Crow’s gaze shifted to the dark male splashed with whites and bright greens, amongst the little tidbits of chatter. Lucian, eh? He was leaving so soon? Without even introducing himself? It amused her how eager he seemed to begin the task at hand. An instruction was an instruction and must have been followed through as quick as possible, of course, but the dedication he demonstrated to the task before him seemed as though it could only be described as aggressive determination. The she-wolf’s pale eyes followed Sofika’s lithe form as the Alpha made her way over to Lucian. Her heavily-furred ears perked up in curiosity. Warrior, huh? She bowed her head respectfully, doing her best to silently congratulate him. As she rose and the howling diminished, Crow gave a silent chuckle, stretching her shoulders up, the legs beneath them tensing and again returning to the relaxed state previously held. Her attention was completely to Lucian in his moment of triumph, reading the look on his face. Happy, excited, somewhat confused. A lot more light of heart than the serious expression he had held only moments ago. The Queen herself had stated he had proved himself, given him rank there and then, his task cancelled. The wing-marked she-wolf twitched her head so that the tuft of fur upon her head uncovered her other eye momentarily, a friendly smirk and a raised eyebrow asking Lucian if now he would stay. Could he not spare a moment now? It would be surely amusing for him to be of rank in a pack he barely knew – or at least that was her opinion on the matter. But then again, that’s the position she had found herself in. Not to say it was intentional… at least this gathering gave her a chance to fix it.

Slowly her howl came to a stop, her voice trailed softly at the end. Her ears perked and she watched Lucian for a moment as he howled. Ever since he came to Arnlan, he wanted to be a warrior for them, now he was one. Hopefully he would uphold his duties and take responsibility for his own training, for at the moment there was no gamma to assist with this. Turning her head around, she watched the two females and the two males curiously, and then padded carefully towards them. Her intention was still, for them to meet each other and socialize; show their true colours.
Out of those here, there was still quite a few members missing. Karolek for one, was not here, and where he was, Sofika did not know. Dante, he was not here, nor was Akisame or her brother Archangel. The siblings had not showed their faces around the territory in quite some time, another few members who's presence in the lands had to be checked up on. Rolling her shoulders, she stopped, pivoted and leaped onto the rough rock that she had been standing on before, then took a seat.
A soft wind had begun to blow through Arnlan, much to the alphas relief. The climate was just too warm, but she was hopeful that with this wind, rain would come, and the area would return to its normal state of weather. Smiling, she looked at them all. So loyal, so curious. Her main concern was if Sallin were to suddenly attack the pack, would the members know who was friend and who was foe? In times of war, the stench of blood and the wounded wafts in the air, and it is difficult to determine different scents. Sighing, she gathered her thoughts before speaking.
" Winter is coming my friends, and it is a dangerous time. Food may become scarce in some areas of Kloteck, and so competition for game may arise." Sofika glanced about the wolves who had come.
" What if, Sallin who I assume you all know of by now, where to run out of food? What if they decided that they wanted our supply of meat. " Stopping again, she gave them time to let these questions sink in.
" I wonder how many of you would be able to recognise a Sallin wolf from an Arnlan wolf. I could have organised for a stray to attend this meeting today, and maybe only one of you, would have been able to tell the difference. " Her intention was not to shoot the wolves down. However seeing as most were just meeting each other for the first time, it seemed that she could have asked someone to pose as a member to determine who actually could spot the fake.
" That is why you are here. The pack cannot function if the members keep to themselves, or do not get on with each other, or if they do not have a clue who is who. Remember all the faces you have seen today and register their scents and names. " Inhaling deeply, she watched them. All the time her tone was that of seriousness, as was her facial expression. This was no matter to joke up, and she was determined to have them all unite as one.
" Does anyone have any questions, suggestions or thoughts they would like to share? "

Lucian had finished his howl for the rest of the pack as well, soon after the alphess had done. His eyes came down and met with one of the female's of the pack. For a moment he wondered if she was looking at him and if she was smiling about him. He looked around for a moment to see if it had been somone else she was expressing to, then returned his eyes to hers. Her sepia colored pelt was not to contrasting as say Ecclesiastes was, but yet he couldnt help but to examine her fully.
With that in mind Lucian made his way to the female. She had not said much, nor anything for that matter and he sought no reason that she need be. As he approached her he lowered his head in a sort of bow to her in greeting. He figured that she knew his name by now and saw no reason to repeat it to her. He sat on his haunches infront of her and simply watched her. From her looks and the feeling lucian was getting from her, she spoke with bodylanguage. He did not know that she was a mute, but he had heard of some wolves taking a vow of silence and living in the ways of other language. He figured she might be one of such wolves.

[D: Sorry Jak]
It was a rare occassion that Sofika's voice held any hint of emotion. Now, as the midnight one spoke of the enemy, Crow did not hear the anger. Instead she felt it as it radiated from Sofika's body. It made the wing-marked femme shudder, her hackles stand on end. It was a rage she understood, having heard the tales of Arnlan's run-ins with Sallin.
Crow's attention shifted back to Lucian as she realised he was making way over. Her tail, which had hung limply around her ankles, waggled gently at his approch, and a kindly smile made it's way back across her maw. She dipped her own head as he did, mirroring his greeting. Lucian, her lips spoke the word, his name, despite her voicelessness. As he sat, she cocked his head curiously to him. At least he was being social now, she mentally chuckled.
