Though no longer a pup, Levy was hardly out of the stage, nearly if not surpassing two, he was prone to stirs of frantic behavior. Something that, if it weren't for instinct would seem very out of place for the commonly neurotic and sullen wolf.
He had been politely collecting rabbits for the food store when the urge hit him. Having placed his kill into storage, he had tripped up on gnawed upon antler, probably cast aside after the deer had been eaten.
With a bit of a 'humph' noise with his fall he growled and barked at the antler, leaping back up on his feet with his hackles playfully risen. He hopped around the offending object and attacked, shaking the antler and throwing it up into the air, trying to catch it, but instead it just landed on the earth with a thud.
Levy wouldn't have it, he paced around it again, his tail wagging his movements gleeful and excited. He tossed it up again, but this time, the antler came down, and the short wolf caught it, right on the top of his maned head.
With a sharp whimper the playfulness of Levy died down, and rose up as a bit of guilt, he had been playing when he should have been helping, he sorely hoped that no one had caught him lallygagging like that...

Ziko had been casually trotting around the territory when the playful growling of another had rung in his ears and compelled him to investigate. What he was met with was a young wolf, not much older than himself playing with animal remains. Dipping himself behind the foliage he had watched as it struck the wolf on the head.
His ears fell back as this happened. Ziko could literally feel it hitting his own skull. Wincing a little. Emerging from behind a bush, leaves clinging to his thin coat, barbs scratching him in places he barked a little at Levy.
" Hey there, " he said in a breaking voice. Ziko was momentarily lost for words. He hoped he hadn't frightened the wolf by his unexpected appearance. " Ziko is my name... yours? "

Levy nearly leapt out of his skin, noting a youth around his own age, and woefully he was much taller than he was, or ever would be. He settled some and gave Ziko a shaky but friendly smile.
"Um...Hi." He wagged his tail slightly, trying to push the antler aside with his back paw, he hadn't been playing...no siree, not him..."I'm Levy" In fact the short little wolf felt comfortable almost instantly around the red and black pup. After all...it seemed he was almost as sociable as he was.
And that was so sad it was almost funny. He smiled, "So...how much did you see?" If he could have Levy would have been blushing red...but still there was some tell tale signs of embarrassment in his body language. He pulled up a large paw to rub at the lump on his head and laughed. "'Cause...I think I put on a pretty good show...sorry...you aren't gonna tell Sofika I was playing around...are you? "
He didn't really know how much, and what was expected of him. When he had lived in Cedarburg, he had hidden so far no one knew he was still alive, he had been so ashamed of himself and how feeble he was. But here, he could start anew, and try to make a good name.

Ears drew back at the surprisement of Levy. He didn't mean to frighten him out of his skin, but as soon as the other started talking he relaxed a little. He had not noticed he was kneading the muck with his toes. " Hello Levy, " was the reply along with a casual smirk.
Well, he had seen enough to make him giggle despite being slightly against laughing at others misfortunes. Though even a slight chuckle cannot be avoided, there's always an essence of humour in it. " Well, I saw the antler fall on your head... " his eyes shut as he pictured it.
" Yes, you did put on a good show. " His tail wagged as he re opened his brilliant chocolate brown eyes. Wait, tail Alpha Sofika? " Why would I bother Sofika to tell her that you were playing? " his head cocked to the side a little wondering why the wolf was trouble himself with such worries.
" Aren't we allowed to play here in Arnlan? I thought we could... " he thought that but he did rarely play around. Infact all he did do was patrol around the border or scout the inside of the area. " I wont tell her, though such an idea would never have crossed my mind, Levy... " winked Ziko with a friendly smile.

"Honestly...I don't know if you can't play in Arnlan....but, have you ever seen anyone play here?" From what Levy had seen, everyone had a job to do, and did it, with out complaint or detour. He hadn't been given any job in particular, so he spent his days trying to hunt and throw them in the storage, though his size made it hard to get anything...big. Levy worried a lot actually, about, everything, and anything. "I mean, I don't think I ever have...I always see everyone working. Doing something, and the Alphas say if you have something to do, you have to do it. Right?"
Levy's tail drooped, he was, in his mind, rightfully concerned. He smiled back at Ziko but still seemed that it was something strongly gnawing at his mind. He plopped down on his haunches and scratched at the top of his head more. "This stings more than the time my denmate Warren struck that beehive...bees everywhere stinging us pups...I told him not to." He laughed. "I hate bees" He wiggled a little remembering the ordeal. He stood up still "OH!" Levy trotted over to the storage with a slightly proud little look on his face
"Look, I caught a rabbit today." He pointed proudly, typically he was only capable of catching woodmice, treefrogs and other small animals. It was rare that he caught something as big as a rabbit. He was happy to show it off to Ziko, he wasn't a show off, but the young wolf was proud of himself and had a captive audience.

[ My mistake, I thought that Levy was taller than Ziko, but it's the opposite. Sorry! ]
Shaking his head he agreed to having never seen anyone play. Though most of the wolves were older and no doubt looked down on such puppish behaviour as a sign of being weak in the mind. " Well... maybe because alot of the wolves are... you know... old beyond anyones memory..." he mumbled thinking of the Alphas and of what age they may be. They seemed to fit to be that old.
Bees? What was a bee, wondered the younger wolf. Never in all of his life time had he seen a 'bee'. Pondering for a moment as he listened to Levy he believed it must be sore to be stung. Stung? What was, to be stung? So many questions that needed answering... and then his attention was grasped by mention of a denmate, Warren. " Bee? Stung? Warren? " he said with a keen eye.
Then Levy went over to the storage and he wagged his tail a little. Surprisingly he hadn't even noticed that the storage was even there he was so concentrated on the wolf he had just met. Then the shorter wolf showed his prized catch. A rabbit? " Nice one. Pretty big rabbit too! " To be honest, Ziko didn't each much. Perhaps that was he was so lanky and malnourished... though he didn't talk about that to anyone.

((Levy is like...a sick little midget! Hahahaha))
"Yea, Ancient....but then again, I used to be part of another pack before I came here, and they were pretty stuffy there too. I think once you become less fun exponentially to your age." Levy was a smart wolf, but apt to make wild assumptions when left to his own devices. He shook his head and laughed nervously, he still kept thinking about Sofika melting out of the shadows and gobbling them both up like a monster from a fairytale.
" Bee? Stung? Warren? "
He shook his head of the thoughts with a huffling sound at the sound of Ziko's question. "A bee...its a bug, yellow with black stripes, they live in...sort of like packs too, hundreds of them...when they're angry, they bite you with their butt. They have a big old spike on their butt like a thorn bush and they bite you with it. Its called...a sting. Past tense: Stung." He wagged his tail some, he didn't seem to think it was strange that Ziko wouldn't know, and didn't patronize, a climate this cold was probably inhospitable to the animals.
While Ziko was tall and thin, Levy was short and fat. Though his chubby appearance wasn't due to any over eating on his own. The young wolf was pleased that Ziko liked the rabbit he had caught. "You really like it?" He had thought he could do better really, but he had lucked out to catch it. "You should eat it..." It wasn't a hint, but Levy would hate to see it go to waste, and he wasn't hungry...he had filled up on treefrogs earlier...

" Your former pack? What pack was that? The only one I know of is Sallin... but I doubt you'd be allowed a sniff of the border if you came from there... " he shifted around a little nervously hoping he hadn't gotten himself involved with anyone dangerous here. Then Ziko began to wonder if any pack allowed play, or was it all work?
" Ah I see... " he tried to picture a little animal who's backside was sore like the thorn of bushes. Didn't sound the nicest thing to be hurt by. Sounded sore to Ziko. Well it would be if it bit you. He hadn't seen many bugs around. Normally around dead things he saw flies or other little creepers. That was roughly about it though. And they didn't look nice to eat.
As Levy offered the rabbit to him he shook his head declining it. He was a little bit hungry but lately he couldn't keep his food down. He ate very small portions now and then throughout the day. Sometimes he went without eating at all. " No thank you. " Ziko didn't realise how skinny he actually was, but didn't condem Levy either for being a tad podgy.
He hadn't really noticed that feature about his new friend anyway to give an opinion. Ziko gave a weary smile and sat back thinking about the 'bee'. Then he thought about Levy's catch. He hadn't had rabbit in a while now. Like Levy he fed on the treefrogs except Ziko could catch a rabbit without trouble. Though he wasn't one to brag to the smaller wolf.

"Oh...I was part of Cedarburg. Its aways from here." He laughed, not at Ziko, but the statement he had made. "Do you really think they'd let me in Sallin?" The stories about the atrocities that pack committed were of the stuff omegas told the pups to scare them into being good. "I'd have been dead meat before I accidentally sniffed it Ziko...." It was obvious that Levy was for the most part, making fun of himself.
"So what do you do around here?" A pup his age, must do -something- and to be honest Levy found himself often bored, but significantly less bored than when he lived in Cedarburg, but...that could have just been because he was used to being bored.

Cedarburg. Well that was a nice name for a pack. Ziko imagined a band of kinder wolves than those of Sallin. He shook his head a little but then nodded. " Well they might have if they had known you were from Cedarburg. They might have wanted you to share any inside information about that pack with them? " Now that, sounded like something Sallin would do... except he didn't want to think of the methods they'd use if someone in that position did not co operate.
" Well I... Uh... " he didn't really want to let this new wolf know that he snooped around sometime, always digging up new information or updates on the pack. No, he'd keep that to himself. " I usually just hunt... or sleep. I've never really played. No one to play with... " his smile widened a little as he thought of possibly playing with Levy one day. Maybe that would lighten the serious young wolf up a little bit or deter him from sticking his paw into elder affairs.

"I wouldn't think so, Cedarburg was so small...I bet their Alphas didn't even know they were there..." Levy laughed, he was comfortable at least, talking to Ziko, as it was no lie that his former pack had been small and below notice. But it had been a nice pack, easy to blend into , get lost in...he had turned being unnoticed almost into an art, but now he noticed...he was nothing like the Alphas of Arnlan and their neat shadow trick. "I bet most wolves didn't know it was there."
" I usually just hunt... or sleep. I've never really played. No one to play with... "
The short male shook himself, his head stopped hurting, so it was easier to smile, "That's because everyone here is so old." Levy gave Ziko a grin, though if he had known that the pup was a snoop, he'd have been in better company, Levy tended to keep hyper alert of his surroundings, always thinking something bad was going to happen.

" Ah, nice and small. Well I guess being unnoticed is a good thing. They can't be a threat to you then. " He began to image again. An alpha pair and perhaps beta pair leading the small band on. Everyone who joined their small pack had a pre assigned task so everyone was busy. Everyone looked out for one another.
He longed for that feeling of togetherness though he didn't quite understand that yet. It was a distance feeling nipping away inside of him, crawling slowly to the surface. However with Levy here, it was beginning to go away because he was true company. The shadows were not the most amusing of company to have by you.
" Well if the older wolves haven't bit at you for playing... then I don't see why we can't play together? " he said lowering his head as he grinned at the same time. His chocolately eyes glinted playfully and he growled a little. He wondered if Levy would catch on and accept his play fight challenge.

Levy was in full agreement with Ziko, that was probably why no one cared, it was just too darn small! And Levy knew on a first hand basis, small things were easily overlooked. "Yea...that's true..." He rolled his shoulders and licked his nose.
The short wolf seemed to zone off for a smell, recollecting what hazy thoughts and memories he still had of his stunted homeland, but at the sound of Ziko's growling he seemed to phase back into consciousness. Oh so he wanted to play huh? He dropped down on his elbows and made a woof, before leaping back up.
Levy might have been weird, but he knew what play fighting was...

A happy yip blurted from his maw and from side to side he shuffled around. Why would the elders not want to play? Where they to dignified to go back to their puppyhood days? Relive old feelings? " Maybe their joints grew too tired to do much, " he remarked with a snicker. Probably though.
Waving his backside he leaped towards the shorter wolf. He had went with a little too much force and almost found his lanky legs tripping over themselves to stop him from crashing into Levy. He didn't want to hurt him because it was just simple play. No need for brute force.
Clearly Ziko had not had much experience of a play fight with a wolf similar in age.
Barking a little he pawed at Levy's maw trying to push it away to the left. With a tail wagging quickly and a paced breath he found this new experience strange. He had never truly played with anyone else in his life. If he had, he couldn't recall...

"Too proud probably..." Levy had seen a lot of older wolves seem too good to play with a pup...that was probably it, though he could see them being just too stiff to do anything.
Levy huffed and opened his mouth blindly swinging his head too and fro...trying to put his front paws on top of Ziko, he had a little experience, when he was younger, he had met wolf named Spook they used to play all the time.
He bounced back, growling playfully, a grin on his face and his tongue hanging aside his mouth.
