Now, they were getting somewhere, would be getting somewhere, and the russian taticion had no doubt in seriousness these wolves were taking with her. They were interested in what she had to say and offer, but even she could not produce all the answers at a rapid pace. Some answers, would come with time, with research and observation, and as she cast her gaze quickly between the two she held an odd feeling that one of these beasts would be unable to hold the patience to sit in one place and dissect another person.
Rolling her shoulders back with a sigh she tilted her head toward the canopy once more, an action she often did, staring at those trees for hours, when she thought.
"It takes time to...completely solve and issue. Even I, lack all thee information, da? I apologize, some answers I cannot produce until I do more research."
However, she dropped her gaze back to the two of them, giving them her cold and steady gaze. "First, however, you, we, will no longer dismiss dis matter. It is important, da? Very important to bring together alienated members, to learn of their thoughts and feelings. You must...do for the people for them to do for you, da?"
Turning her gaze back toward Karolek she gave him a nearly baffled expression, however it too was shielded, hidden away, least the alpha be offended by her thoughts of what he had just spoken.
"Impossible? No, no. Not so, difficult, is all. This, this is our family. A stranger cannot be family, and a family is a pack. It feel impossible, da? But we make it not so, it has to be not so, otherwise...how do we know if they belong to this pack or not? And dis land belongs to Arlan, not wayward mutts" She spat, however she soon shook her head, to calm herself, the small bookwormish female glancing back toward Sofika.
"It is not yet time, no, but if you make another pack meeting, tis must be mandatory. Though who do not attend must be found and destroyed. It sound cruel yes, but if you no take the time to appear and introduce yourself before your Alpha, then he no have the time to protect you, to know you belong, da? Does..this make sense? Change must happen for prosperity to blossom. You no have to become cruel or mean, yet you cannot allow this to continue. It is a weakness, no too large right now, but the wound will grow and hinder. This pack must unify as one or it will be divided and scattered. Dese members, dey must see who they fight for."

"How, though? If indeed there are those that we are not aware of, lurking in the shadows, then how can we be sure that we've met them all?"
Sofika frowned slightly. There was no one, no one in their pack lands that they did not know of. But there were many that they didn't know they slightest about. And Sofika couldn't admit to herself that she had been lenient of who was accepted into Arnlan. The female sighed and looked to Alex who seemed to be considering alot.
The black wolf remained quiet and still as she too was considering every word spoken now. Serious times... serious times. Now this was when the female would be able to work best because she herself was a very serious wolf. Anything, she would do, to reunite this pack and this wolf before her, well her determined help was to be gratefully rewarded.
" It is not yet time, no, but if you make another pack meeting, tis must be mandatory. Though who do not attend must be found and destroyed. It sound cruel yes, but if you no take the time to appear and introduce yourself before your Alpha, then he no have the time to protect you, to know you belong, da? "
Her headed nodded as she clung onto every word spoken. This wolf obviously had previous experience in similar matters. She knew what she was talking about, Sofika recognised this and all she could give was her up most attention. And now she fell into deep thought, craning her neck a little in her brothers direction.
Yes, she liked this idea. Those who did not attend a pack meeting were to be immediately killed. Had it not been made clear that when you joined the pack, you joined the family, as Alex said and didn't simply ride on it's back, basking in it's protection?
" Wise wolf you are Alex. I agree, with destroying those lacking loyalty to us. " Her voice lowered into a dark tone. " This meeting will be the first step into rebuilding Arnlan to it's former glory. I'm ashamed to see how far it has fallen from that original state however it is not to late. " She paused for thought, directing her following words at Karolek. " These times will not be easy. We have alot of work to do. We'll need all the help we can get. "
Looking to Alex she nodded gratefully for her input. Sofika could no longer ignore the rising problem. It had to be addressed and now with Alex bringing the problem to attention, it could no longer continue. Yes. Elimination. To her, it was not cruel. No remorse would be shone if wolves had to be destroyed. " What do you think, Karolek? A good starting point? " she said casually now to her brother.

"It takes time to...completely solve and issue. Even I, lack all thee information, da? I apologize, some answers I cannot produce until I do more research."
"Ah, there's no need to apologize. You've given us much help already..." It seemed that Alpha had been taken by a sudden burst of politeness, or gratefulness, or some other feeling that prompted him to compliment Alex. Or, maybe it wasn't so much a compliment as it was a dismissal of an apology; one could never truly tell.
"First, however, you, we, will no longer dismiss dis matter. It is important, da? Very important to bring together alienated members, to learn of their thoughts and feelings. You must...do for the people for them to do for you, da? Impossible? No, no. Not so, difficult, is all. This, this is our family. A stranger cannot be family, and a family is a pack. It feel impossible, da? But we make it not so, it has to be not so, otherwise...how do we know if they belong to this pack or not? And dis land belongs to Arlan, not wayward mutts"
Karolek remained silent, nodding slowly, to show that he understood. He could certainly talk a lot when he wanted to, but not everything had to be put into words. The dark wolf agreed with what Alex was saying, and that wasn't something he felt needed to be verbally stated.
"It is not yet time, no, but if you make another pack meeting, tis must be mandatory. Though who do not attend must be found and destroyed. It sound cruel yes, but if you no take the time to appear and introduce yourself before your Alpha, then he no have the time to protect you, to know you belong, da?"
There was another nod, before Karolek finally spoke, "It's not too cruel...After all, we are merely punishing the ones who would only use our land for their own benefits, with no intention of aiding the family." Perhaps he was only restating what had already been said, but he wanted them to know that he understood, that he was following this conversation, even though they might not have thought that at first.
"These times will not be easy. We have alot of work to do. We'll need all the help we can get. What do you think, Karolek? A good starting point?"
"All the help we can get..." He shifted his gaze over to Alex, frowning thoughtfully. "You do not necessarily need a rank to help us, Alexsander, but it could make things more...official." Karolek looked to Sofika momentarily, before turning once more to Alex. "Unless either of you have any objections...Then I think you'd make a fair Advisor, Alex. That will be the first step towards weeding out the individuals who are not faithful to Arnlan. Now, I believe...it is time to plan this 'pack meeting.'

At first the smaller wolf was in silence, had tilted her head in a motion that, without dipicting shock or surprise, seemed rather natural. It was an action of contemplation, a motion of respect for the sudden status she now held and the power that came with it, though her aura never changed, it did not shift to one of malicious intent, and she did not grin or smirk or even smile at this announcement. She was serious, dead serious, and her eyes and expression reflected that.
Responsibility, she knew how to use it, how to give and control it as if the noun were living, a breathing creature to leash down with rope and tame. She held a position of this once before, once within her foggy past, a past that wasn't spoken of, but maybe now that she held the trust of these twins, these alpha's she would share it.
Maybe.
But the day for that to come was far away, and right now, they needed to attend business.
"I accept."
And then the day resumed, and Alex turned her attention to the both of them as if her rise to ranks had not taken place, as if she were still talking to them about the earlier subject. She was right on the money, straight forward, and blunt.
"We shall plan, but refrain from initiating it yet. The scents in the wind, the paws at the boarders, they need to be either brought in or turned away, killed for ignorance or saved for the blessing of their talents. We can no longer let this drag out, this fading, it is time to bring everyone together, time for them to tell us what they can do for Arnlan, not what they can do for themselves," here the Russian wolf almost spat, clutching the snow with spread digits. How alive she seemed to become, passionate about what was to soon take place. Before she was shy, withdrawn in fear of rejection, but no.
In the presence of these two beasts...dare she call them her close associates, her friends, she could be what she was meant to be.
Their backbone.
At least in the department of intelligence.

Karolek did not need to ask Sofika if she had any objections. He already knew because the bond that they shared was so strong, they could sense each other thoughts and knew each others feelings.
The female knew that Alex was aware what power came with her rank and she could not foresee her flaunting it, showing it off in any inappropriate manner that would make the other wolves jealous.
" Arnlan grows quickly in numbers but slowly the trust diminishes as so many of the wolves remain shrouded in mystery... There are those who we have yet to come to face with, even though we are aware of their presence. "
Since the numbers of wolves seeking acceptance had increased, the twins had had to appoint a new wolf to their ranks. However this meant that they did not get a good look of everyone entering, although she trusted Nightblood to weed out the weak.
" Now that we have Nightblood, our sentry, Karolek and I have had more free time to look into these matters at hand. We trust her judgment on who enters Arnlan, but this means we need to become more vigilant of the members and find out their true intentions. "
" I felt that I had to bring this to attention, it feels... relevant to me to mention this fact if we are to plan a gathering. "
Feelings were not often something Sofika shared with anyone other than Karolek. However something told her that to fully trust Alex she had to share these sorts of opinions with her.
