"So, um, I guess we wait for Tricker and Night to finish their greeting huh?"
Crow gave a nod in answer as the younger wolfess approached. She smiled openly at the pupish BladeWind. She was welcome to ask any questions of the Sentry, if it was what she wanted. It was difficult for the sepia one to awns many questions, but when worded correctly it could be gotten around. But as it was, the greeting didn't continue for much longer.
"You have more experience in this, Crow. Make sure I'm doing this right."
Crow shifted her gaze back to Nightblood. She wanted to be evaluated? She was sure the larger fem would be fine. From what she could ascertain Nightblood had been working hard for quite some time and would have her series of questions down pat. But, as requested, she perked an ear and listened thoughtfully.
"Any reason why you want to join? And... your scent... is there something the pack should know about, if I were to accept you?"
The first was a usual question, but none the less useful in the evaluation of the acceptee. Crow smiled at the second though. Picking up unusalties, individual characteristics - thinking of the future, possible risks. Good, good. Though, of course, after the issues with Mortil it was understandable that Nightblood would be so swift in asking such. She listened for the answers curiously. She had never smelt anything like him before.
"Self aspires to be accepted... as self wishes discontinuement of... singular existence."
He didn't want to be alone. Well, few did: wolves were a pack animal after all. Acceptance, companionship - it was natural that they longed for such things as a social animal.
"Scent is... result of high concentration... of chemical trichlorofluoromethane, or Freon 11. Direct ingestion... of Freon substance, may result in... incoordination... tremors... frostbite... cardiac arrest... death. Ingestion only possible... upon attacking self."
The chemical names meant nothing to her but long, odd words. It was the dangers involved that perked her attention. Death? Well, certainly there was hazard there. But if what he spoke was the complete truth - that only his assailants would feel the wrath of whatever passed through him - he could make a powerful ally. Crow studied Nightblood critically, awaiting her reaction to this news as well as her next round of questions, eyes urging her equal on. She hadn't asked Tricker how the pack would benefit from him, and though Crow thought she knew the potential awns she waited paitently.

BladeWind greatly accepted the warmth she recieved from the quiet sepia wolfess. She would nod to acknowledge she heard and understood and even to give an answer while giving a friendly smile at Blade. She was about to say something when NightBlood disrupted her thoughts.
"Any reason why you want to join? And... your scent... is there something the pack should know about, if I were to accept you?"
Yes Tricker had an unusual scent to him. As Blade focused on it for the first time a shiver went down her spine. She looked around hoping it was a chill breeze playing at her back but her mind answered her fear. ~He smells like chemicals....just like that damned lab~ Tricker gave his response to the three females before him. "Scent is... result of high concentration... of chemical trichlorofluoromethane, or Freon 11. Direct ingestion... of Freon substance, may result in... incoordination... tremors... frostbite... cardiac arrest... death. Ingestion only possible... upon attacking self."
~I knew it. Those people will PAY!!.....calm down..it may have been an accident on his part....~ Another shiver threatened to make its way down Blade's back. She stopped it but it made her shift uncomfortably. After a moment she was relaxed again and her eyes became heavy. She shook herself awake and continued to listen with ears perked up to the possible acceptance of this chemical wolf. That could pose both an excellent but dangerous choice. Who cares? She liked the idea that if anyone were to fight with him and get a piece of him...they'd die.
A smile tugged at Blade's mouth as she tried to watch and listen carefully to the next question and answer about to take place.

{{Ah. Okay. I interpreted incorrectly. ^^; Which means NB interpreted incorrectly. XD }}
"Self aspires to be accepted... as self wishes discontinuement of... singular existence. Self is... is..."
NightBlood waited patiently (which was a miracle in itself) for the right word to come to him.
"Is.. is... a-lone."
~AWWWWW!~ -Oh, stop it!- ~No! He's too cute!~ -We're not evaluating him just to accept him because he's a-lone and cute!- ~Who was the one to get all excited about him?~
No responce. Blood knew it was a lost cause to come up with an answer for that one.
~HA!~
"Scent is... result of high concentration... of chemical trichlorofluoromethane, or Freon 11."
NightBlood raised an eyebrow at this and tilted her head to one side. Fully amazed that he was able to pronounce such a word, and having know idea what it meant in the first place.
"Direct ingestion... of Freon substance, may result in... incoordination... tremors... frostbite... cardiac arrest... death."
NightBlood's ear folded at this statement. He was a danger if this was true, but then... how would one ingest the chemical?
"Ingestion only possible... upon attacking self."
"So it resides in your blood," Night openly remarked. She shook her head. "There are other ways for your blood to be spilled, not only during attack."
She said the last statement while envisioning the tree that RavenShard had pointed out. English Hawthorn... a truely dangerous tree. She could see each barb clearly in her mind.
"If your blood were to be spilled at all, Tricker, in anyway, it would prove a great danger to the pack. Say you were to get trapped, however unlikely, in a thorn bush. Anyone who'd help you would be in danger of dieing. Even if they kept their mouth shut, what if they were to get injured and your blood was to invade theirs? What if an animal came and licked up the blood? What if the blood was simply left there? What would happen?"
She allowed a moment for him to answer before continuing.
"Blood can be kept safe in the body if you are careful enough. But is there any other way that the chemical can be passed?"
As she waited for a responce, NightBlood slowly realized what she was doing. Slowly turning away a valuable weapon. All of Sallin would die if they slaughtered this wolf on their border. But there was no chance NightBlood would allow use of Tricker as a simple death bomb. The Alphas, if they truely had hearts, would surely understand.

Tricker's straight face didn't change a bit, but inside he was a little bit peeved that NightBlood would think him so careless. If he'd not been so cautious his life out of captivity no doubt there would be that problem. "Self is... plusexperienced in... caution with injury." he stated. "Self would not demand... assistance from Arnlan... if caught in subject... thorn bush. Any biologic... ingestion of blood, depending upon quantity... result in aforementioned symptoms. Blood that remains... evaporation likely, unharmful."
"Blood can be kept safe in the body if you are careful enough. But is there any other way that the chemical can be passed?"
Tricker nodded, realising he hadn't mentioned the other part of it. "Saliva content... Harmful. Incision by self to hostile... result in hostile... neutralisation. Self is doubleplusunlikely... to incise Arnlan members." Tricker wasn't really fond of biting anyone really, as the death itself was cold, and painful. But he'd have to make some use of himself if he was to join Arnlan, and so that's what he'd have to do.

"So it resides in your blood. There are other ways for your blood to be spilled, not only during attack."
Crow studied the two forms. She was feeling some sort of gladness that NightBlood had given her something to do - it'd be rather awkward otherwise, just standing by and watching. The other Sentry was certainly displaying intelligence and contemplation in her questions. Her attention turned briefly to Bladewind beside her, wondering what the curious one would think of it all. She was smiling, but it seemed somehow forced, tense. Crow perked a questioning eyebrow. What was wrong?
"Blood can be kept safe in the body if you are careful enough. But is there any other way that the chemical can be passed?" "Self is... plusexperienced in... caution with injury." he stated. Well, it was somewhat good news - blood left on the ground would evaporate, even if it was a process that took a little while.
"Saliva content... Harmful. Incision by self to hostile... result in hostile... neutralisation. Self is doubleplusunlikely... to incise Arnlan members."
Crow flicked her ears uncertainly. Deadly blood and saliva. It was certainly a condition that she had never heard of, let alone come across during her days as a sentry. She suddenly found herself quite glad that NightBlood was handling this. To accept this would-be willing pack member, or to turn him away potentially to Sallin. It was a tough decision to make. As far as she could tell, Tricker seemed to believe that he'd have it under control. He was unlikely to bite others? Certainly, as a member it would be expected of him, as it was of all the wolves of Arnlan, to not intentionally cause injury to packmates in anything but dire circumstances. But accidents happened, if was a fact of life. It was difficult to determine how often such an incident Night described would occur, how every being would react. Crow weighed up pros and cons in her own mind, pondering other circumstances where this information would come into play. Poisoned saliva meant that he would be unable to share kills with others for risk that the chemical would reach the other through consumed prey. This also meant there would be little he could physically do in a pack hunt. The sepia wolfess dropped to her belly, crossing her forepaws in front of her. This was Nightblood's decision to make, and a difficult one it would be.

"Self aspires to be accepted... as self wishes discontinuement of... singular existence. Self is... is..." Blade quietly held her breath and bit her tongue, so to speak, while Tricker struggled for the word to escape his muzzle. She fully understood as she'd had that problem more than once. "Is.. is... a-lone." ~Poor guy. Tired of being alone just like me~
Blade noticed the wolfess next to her turn and raise an eyebrow as if to ask "what's bothering you?" but Blade wasn't sure this was the time or place to get involved in THAT terrible and long story.
She continued listening to the conversation as it unfolded. She was trying to follow along and not intrude but it was becoming rather difficult as the situation continued. Night voiced a concern about Tricker's toxic blood and how it would/could harm the pack. Tricker responded saying basically that he was aware of the danger and would not put any pack members in harms way deliberatly. (Always a good thing)
"But is there any other way the chemical can be passed?" Night was really questioning Tricker and showing she had a lot of intelligence behind those perceptive eyes. Tricker quickly gave an answer. "Saliva content... Harmful. Incision by self to hostile... result in hostile... neutralisation. Self is doubleplusunlikely... to incise Arnlan members." He seemed sure of himself that should he be accepted, he would avoid harm where possible. Blade wondered how she could maybe help Tricker feel like a part of the pack, if Night accepted him, rather than this dangerous biohazard that was in the area.
Before Blade could stop herself she raised her head and asked the burning question in her mind. "How did you get pumped with Frion 11 Tricker?" After she had stupidly blurted out her question she looked to Night and the Sepia hoping they weren't annoyed or glaring at her. ~You're a damned fool you know that?! A damned fool~
She quickly laid down again and lowered her head, wishing she hadn't spoken out. The sepia wolf also laid down but crossed her forepaws and had a look of interest in her eyes. Would NightBlood accept Tricker? Or would he have to continue searching and being alone?
{*needs much sleep and probably won't get it*}

Any biologic... ingestion of blood, depending upon quantity... result in aforementioned symptoms. Blood that remains... evaporation likely, unharmful."
NightBlood could have clawed her own face. Of course he'd already know how to avoid injury. How else could he have gotten this far without being killed by someone who's lost a friend to his blood? Duh.
"My appologies. I'm slow at realizing such things... But error is never impossible. Not probable, maybe, but not impossible."
"Saliva content... Harmful. Incision by self to hostile... result in hostile... neutralisation. Self is doubleplusunlikely... to incise Arnlan members."
Saliva. His spit was more likely to get on something than in it. As Crow might have guessed yy now, he could not share food unless it was severed from the game before he bit it. He could not participate in pack hunts because of it, but his physical build probably prevented him from doing so anyway. He would also be prohibited from drinking from the streams that ran through Arnlan. He could poison another or take away her entire food supply. He would have to find a pond or something to drink from and make sure every member knew not to drink from it.
"How did you get pumped with Frion 11 Tricker?"
NightBlood turned to BladeWind, addressing her with her eyes for the first time. It wasn't a threatening glare, but sertainly a warning. Her brow furrowed and she gave a wide frown to show her annoyance. There would be time for such questions later, but if Tricker wanted to give a brief explenation, she would allow him to do so.
She paused for a moment, thinking quietly to herself. Literally.
~We cannot turn him away and be absolutly sure he won't end up in Sallin. He's more of a danger to us there than he would be here.~ -We cannot accept him and be absolutly sure he will never harm one of us. If he does, it's on our head.- ~If he harms one of us while he's on Sallin's side, it would still be on our head.~ -...Damn it. We're already responcible...-
NightBlood turned to Crow, but turned away before making eye contact. She would not beg for help here. She wasn't a pup. Instead, she made eye contact with Tricker.
"If you make an error here, it's on my head. You will be chased away. I will most likely be demoted or worse. If you can accept this, then I welcome you to Arnlan. If not, you are welcome to leave. Either way, it is your choice. I only ask that you stay away from Sallin for all our sakes if you leave."
She lowered her gaze to the ground, allowing him a moment before answering.

"How did you get pumped with Frion 11 Tricker?"
Tricker turned his head to stare at BladeWind. She had an interesting question, but now really wasn't the time, as well that it was a bit personal to explain. Perhaps he'd say later on, if it still perked the wolf's curiosity. It took him back to being in captivity, which were not his favourite memories, which he could recall quite clearly, including the brief moment that he had met... NightBlood was speaking again, and Tricker turned back to her.
Leave? Tricker couldn't leave. This would be his only opportunity to be accepted by a pack. He'd been cautious enough so far, he remained sure that Arnlan wouldn't risk too much in accepting him. He'd been careful enough his whole life, Tricker felt confident that to go out of his way to avoid harming others was nothing new to him. He nodded his head. "Self accepts this."

{{awe I like Crow but I completly understand the trouble with having to work and stuff}} Blade saw NightBlood give her clear disapproval of her outburst and regretted it even more than she had. ~Stupid stupid stupid. You are so stupid sometimes~ She tried to give the most apologetic look with her eyes toward Night that she could but she didn't know if it was being protrayed properly, she hadn't been around another for so long. She also saw that Tricker seemed a bit torn. He appeared to want to at least tell the jist of his story but didn't want to do so at the moment. She hoped that maybe at other time, when he felt up to it, she could hear his story. Blade was ok with that, it was her own fault for not keeping her wandering mind under control. Night was speaking to Tricker again. "If you make an error here, it's on my head. You will be chased away. I will most likely be demoted or worse. If you can accept this, then I welcome you to Arnlan. If not, you are welcome to leave. Either way, it is your choice. I only ask that you stay away from Sallin for all our sakes if you leave."Wow. This was a tense and tough desicion both for Night and Tricker. Apparently, NightBlood was leaving the choice up to Tricker whether he joined Arnlan or to keep searching. She quickly glanced at the wolfess next to her, who was being 'quiet' so to speak. ~What IS her name? No pay attention. FOCUS~ Blade watched Tricker with bated breath listening carefully for his response, not wanting to miss any part of it. It came as a slight breeze played with the wolves fur. "Self accepts this." Short, sweet, and to the point. ~Woohoo! This should be fun!~Bottom line. Tricker was accepted, she thought, and for now at least, this gathering was at a close. Blade stood and stretched her legs, ready to leave as soon as NightBlood made it more, official. She bowed her head to both in turn as she spoke to Tricker. "I'd love to know more about you Tricker. Feel free to call me out when you want to talk."BladeWind trotted off into Arnlan, toward her den she'd made that morning. She was ready for a good night's sleep even though her sleep pattern was WAY off lately.

"Self accepts this."
NightBlood's spirits instantly rose at this statement. He was determined, which was a good quality in her eyes. By saying this, he had promised to do everything he could to keep the Arnlanians safe. Who knows, perhaps he would find a rank for himself? So many in Arnlan needed rank. It would help activity, at least, if everyone was given a job to do.
NightBlood allowed herself to smile at the black-and-orance wolf. She stood to escort him into the lands and turned toward the darkness before BladeWind interupted the silence.
"I'd love to know more about you Tricker. Feel free to call me out when you want to talk."
Blood inwardly shook her head and rubbed her brow. Such a pup... But she knew how important friendship was, at least. It was critical to know each pack mate.
"You can rest a while, Tricker," she told him, "But you'll need to familiarize yourself with the land soon."
With that, she lumbered into the forest, keeping close to Tricker untill they were safe inside the land. She bade him farewell and looked to Crow. The black and tan wolf signaled to the mute that she wanted to meet elseware, soon or at the pack meeting, to 'discuss' her decision.

The mute wolf twisted her head in curiousity. He didn't want to speak of the past? Or he would later... She found herself curious now. What had caused this oddest of oddities poison blood?
"If you make an error here, it's on my head. You will be chased away. I will most likely be demoted or worse. If you can accept this, then I welcome you to Arnlan. If not, you are welcome to leave. Either way, it is your choice. I only ask that you stay away from Sallin for all our sakes if you leave."
And mine, Crow thought gently. She'd overseen the whole thing, after all.
"Self accepts this." "I'd love to know more about you Tricker. Feel free to call me out when you want to talk."
Well, this was it, wasn't it? He was a part of Arnlan now. The sepia wolfess shifted to herself up to a seating position. She didn't get up quite yet, expecting more to transpire. However, BladeWind had obviously thought otherwise and Crow turned only in time to see a flash of fleeting blue.
"Everyone is required to be at the pack meeting, no one forget it."
She paused, flattening her ears back. Wait, where was Nightblood just going? She followed a step after, but soon enough they had left Tricker. She cocked her head, curiously. Nightblood indicated she would like to talk elsewhere, but Crow felt that their duties here were not quite finished. She had little experience even as a Sentry dealing with dangerous individuals, but she knew... Tricker would need some ground rules laid. What bodies of water he could drink from, areas he should avoid as to remain uninjured, how and where to take prey. These lands were completely new to him - what was to say he would accidently find the thorn patches? The whole pack should have been made aware of what had entered these lands and the danger he posed, what instructions he was under. Crow hovered on the spot, hoping NightBlood would do the same, that she might explain... She gave a sigh. Even if the other Sentry stopped, how was she to explain her long string of thoughts?
