NightBlood had never been to the stores before, but she glimped the area once during an exploration. She remembered it quite clearly- a guarded place near the center of Arnlan. She lopped along, trying to find the trail that lead to it. Soon she found it. The trail was old and worn- well used. Keeping within sight range of the siblings, she steadied her pace to a swift walk.
The dark forest seemed to enclose around her as she padded along the floor. She could feel its dencity growing. And sure enough, two trees on either side of the path had desided just then to grow very close together, yet wide enough apart for a big wolf like NightBlood. However, Blood had misjudged how wide the carcass in her mouth was and found herself stuck between the two trees.
A small growl was emitted from her throat as she let go of the meat. There it hung, perfectly smashed between the trucks. Intacked and still in perfect resemblence to half a deer, but most deffinatly stuck. This was a problem, of course. With Pollux and Orion coming up, the treck would be delayed if they would have to stop and wait.
Night backed up away from the meat until she was a good distance away. With practiced skill, she charged at the target, lowering her head until it was level with the center of the meat. At contact, the half of the carcass was sent sooting across the ground, but so was Blood. She passed easitly between the trees, but crashed with the meat as it fell upon the ground. She jumped up without hesitation, shook herself off, and took the meat back up in her jaws, hoping that the two wolves had been distracted from keeping an eye on her at that moment.

The path to the stores was strangely silent, but Orion did not have time to notice. His body was fatigued, his mind was filled with both worry for his sister and relief to be home. Picking up the slack end of the deer half should not have been a difficult task, but with every step further they took, the heavier the blasted thing seemed to get. Soon, his breath began huffing out the sides of his mouth as he fought to keep hold of the meat. He had to, for if he slipped, then the whole thing could throw his wounded sister off balance and he did not want that.
He did not see Nightblood's awkward situation ahead. His focus was centered on the path immediately infront of him and on Pollux; attempting to keep up with her pace, judging her movements to stay in sync with her travel. He would be glad to be to the stores-not much further now. Then they could rest, and hope that Sofika would be pleased with their accomplishment.

The sound of Orion's huffing breath shook Pollux from her trance, as her eyes looked over to him. "Ust ahhh leetle beth fah-tha" She encouraged the younger male though her clenched teeth. If Pollux was feeling any fatigue or pain, she was doing a good job hiding it. After all, when all of this was done, she would be free to rest and lick her wounds in relative peace.
And no, the Scout had been to preoccupied to see Nightblood's little blunder, which was good for the Sentry, because there would have been no way that the older female wouldn't have given her a hard time for nights to come.

The larger female glanced around until her good eye found the two siblings. She paused for half a moment before lumbering on, making sure that they were both alright. She didn't want to lose them.
As she looked ahead, an odd form broke up the landscape. Ah! The stores! With a muffled bark, she announced their arrival to the tired wolves behind her and took off at a faster pace. She would be able to reach the stores before them, drop her load, and run back to help Pollux and Orion.
"We're here," she mumbled through the meat.
She would not stop again. NightBlood was determined to get to the stores before either Orion or Pollux fainted from their fatigue. She should have taken most of the load. It would have been easier on the other two.

Orion knew they had to be getting close.
"Ust ahhh leetle beth fah-tha"
He brought his gaze from the path in front back to fall upon his sister. How lame he must have looked. She was much older than he, and wounded at that, yet she was the one to bring encouragement to them both. How he admired her strength. And her encouragement brought him strength as he attempted to smile back at her without dropping the deer.
Rustling on the path up ahead and a muffled bark diverted his attention back to where his gaze found Nightblood standing with her portion, waiting on them. He was very greatful for her help. As tired as he and Pollux were, they would have probably never been able to bring the heavy carcass of the deer to the stores by themselves without it going bad first.
"We're here,"
Those words were like music to his ears. Adrenalin kicked in, a burst of renewed strength surged through him.
"Amost!" Garbled words finally came from him as his tail even began to sway slightly in relief.

With the goods delivered, Pollux could only give a simple sigh of relief, her tail wagging slightly, before she took a lick at her wound with a snort.
"Thankyou Nightblood. And good work Orion. You did very well on your first outing." She nodded appreciatively at both wolves, before looking behind her, and then blinking something off. "I do think though, I may go lay down, and rest."
Her tone was quiet, and tired, she would talk to Sofika later, or the Alpha would find her, either way, it would be done. But the scout wanted to relax, take a drink and mind her wound before it went sour and crippled her.
"I shall leave you then. Be sure to drink your fill and rest Orion." She informed simply before fading off into the shadows with a slight limp.

After leaving her half at the stores, NightBlood turned toward Pollux, lowering her head as the Scout spoke. Blood growled a gruff responce to her thanks. It was common curtisy for pack members to help eachother. She only wished that more had been around to help. That way Pollux and Orion could have gone off and rested immediatly instead of having to take the extra jurney.
Night watched as the multi-colored female vacated the area. She was no doubt looking for water and a place to rest and nurse her wounds. Orion would need to do the same. Blood would leave them both in peace, knowing she would be annoyed if someone tagged along. No, she would find Sofika or Karolek and tell them of their return.
"Take care, my friends," she said, glancing to both of them individually.
With that, she turned in the other direction, not knowing exactly where to go to find the Alphas. Perhaps at the river? It was a place to start.

Orion's spirits raised as the load they were carrying was dropped at it's destination. The task was finally done. Now they could rest, Pollux could take care of her wounds. He watched Pollux lick at her wound, before turning to them. He was worried for her, but knew she was strong, and now that she was back home, she could heal.
"Thankyou Nightblood. And good work Orion. You did very well on your first outing."
The praise from his sister brought an appreciative smile to his face as he lowed his head in thanks. He only wish he could have done better, and maybe Pollux would not have been injured.
Her quiet tone told him she was ready to leave. "Take care, Pollux. If you should need anything, don't hesitate to call." he called after her quietly as she faded into the Arnlan shadows. He knew she would be alright.
Water-yes, he needed to get to the river to find water as Pollux had suggested. Nightblood had turned from them and stood now facing the direction of the river. The large black and tan female seemed to be in thought. He started walking slowly that way, passing by her right side before pausing a few feet infront of her. He looked back over his shoulder.
"Nightblood, is it?" he stated, half questioning if he had her name correct and half repeating it verbally to commit it to memory. He had been born in Arnlan, and heard different names over his two and a half years, but never hers. She was a fairly new member, though had been in Arnlan long enough to have the land's distinct scent upon her. And she held herself as one who had rank.
It seemed they both were looking to head to the river. He might as well take whatever opprotunity he had to get to know one of his packmates; after all, he had not met many of them. He turned his gaze back toward the river. He could hear it, smell it...he took a few steps in the right direction. Maybe she would follow, maybe she wouldn't.
