(( This is a quick post to wrap my turn up. Everyone else post after me in any order they like, so long as the finish. ))
Mortil sighed softly, then raised his head towards the sky. He squinted. The sky was no longer clear, and he could no longer view the stars, so much like pinpricks on black satin. The sky was now covered by turbulent clouds, and with it was a gloomy melancholy that seemed to permeated Mortil's soul. He shrugged it off, though, at least on the surface. He smiled slightly. What will be, will be, and no less. He looked at the others, and his smile dimmed. He seemed so far away from them, so different. The sepia wolfess's name he would never know, by no fault of hers. Nightblood had Archer, and he her. Even the sparrow colored wolf had a sense of belonging in this pack, while he did not.
He sighed again. Perhaps he was overthinking. He was here and that was now. He would never have to deal with the future, for it would never come.
"Never mind that. At any rate, you have my tale. Make of it what you will. I ask not for forgiveness. Nothing can absolve what I or Umbra have done. Speaking of which, I do have him under control. However...he very much dislikes seeing creatures attempting to kill those I did not allow him to, and so will try to force his way to the surface, as he did with Bloodloose. But I digress. No, I will not ask for forgiveness. Only understanding of who I am."[/color]

"Understood, Mortil," Blood answered as she stood up, abandoning Archer's warmth. "During your future in Arnlan, I hope that we come to understand eachother more. Umbra might be a danger, but at any rate, I'm glad to have him on our side."
As she watched the gray wolf leave the area, she waited patiently for the names to be given. When she heard them, Night glanced at the others.
"Until we meet again, friends."
With that, she turned and trotted away. Having met a group of Arnlan, Night had had a full day. She headed straight for her den, not waiting for Archer to follow.
