"I guess you could say that I think of him as a brother."
Umbra wore a ghost of a grin on his face. "How very curious. How very curious indeed. Isn't that interesting? Well...No need to tell Albireo, hm? But next time the two of you speak, you should ask him about Revolution. Should be interesting." the ash-grey wolf looked down as Mordecai lowered him into the water.
Umbra hissed slightly as Ravenshard poured water into his side wound, but let it lie.
"Close your eyes."
Umbra complied without comment, shutting the only eye he could. His right, to be precise.

"... I'll keep that in mind..."
NightBlood was a little confused about what he meant. Was 'revolution' a name? Or did his speech slip? Either way, she would find out eventually. For now, she watched the goings on between the healer and the injured wolf. She sat down and waited to be called upon for assistance if any was needed. She'd wait until RavenShard was finished with her care before helping Mordecai return him to his den. If the situation arose that Umbra too passed out, she would have no choice but to take him to her den, as she was unaware of the location of his. In addition, she really didn't trust anyone else to Umbra's strength if he went berserk when he woke up.
"Close your eyes."
It amazed her that Umbra did not question her. Although, she knew he was smart, she half expected a snide comment of sorts.

Diving back into the water, she positioned herself so she was facing away from the group. She had to get his whole body clean in a quick manner, and continually spitting water at him would just waste time and make him that much closer to death.
Pumping her back legs, she sent bucketloads of water splashing down on Umbra, getting his torso thoroughly wet. Discomforting, but he'll have to deal. His wounds were cleaner and now easier to manage.
Rising once again on dry land, she turned to NightBlood.
"Fetch me a stick." She said, then thought to herself, and giggled uncontrollably. Usually dogs fetch sticks for their owners and well, wolves don't but... wait, she was getting distracted. Her amused face turned serious as she looked to NightBlood once again. "A thick one. About half the size of Umbra's leg."
She whipped her head to her other side, where Mordecai stood. "You..." She began, and Mordecai's ears perked, "shall be my waterboy."
Mordecai's expression faltered, somehow finding that term demeaning. RavenShard reached into her leg-pouch and brought out that small stone basin set on a chain, setting it on the ground for Mordecai to pick up. Mordecai took the hint, taking the bowl and filling it with river water. He sat waiting with the bowl swaying slightly in his teeth. RavenShard repeated her actions as she did with NightBloods wounds the day of her acceptance into Arnlan. She had several large slivers of White Pond Lily in her teeth, and a pawful of White willow bark, with a small pile at her feet as well. This would take a lot of it, and she would have to go sniffing for more after this. After a few moments, she managed to mash the bark to her liking. Beckoning Mordecai for the bowl, she dumped the mashed bark into the bowl, mixing it thoroughly, muttering instructions and general gibberish to herself all the while. Finally, smearing the white paste on the largest lilypad, she took it gingerly and set it atop one of Mortil's largest wounds, the gash across his chest. Scooping up a bit of water with her paw, she smeared a bit over his fur and the laid pad, ensuring its security. She wished she had a bit of that deerskin that NightBlood had had when she was fixing her paw.
Doing the same for Umbra's other larger wounds, covering the one on his left side, and the bite on his front right leg, which was also broken. She needed NightBlood to find a splint for her, to set his leg right, and she didn't have a lot of time.

"Fetch me a stick."
NightBlood was about to set off to do as she was told when RavenShard began to laugh. It didn't make sense to her in the situation, but the healer was a strange being. Soon the laughter stopped.
"A thick one. About half the size of Umbra's leg."
The Sentry nodded and set off to find a suitable stick. It didn't take long. She found a thick branch that had fallen out of a tree. She needed only to break it in half. Gripping one end in her teeth, she put a paw on the other half and pressed down. The shock of the break rattled her brain and shook her teeth. Thankfully, none of them broke. She made a mental note never to do that again.
Stick finally up to Raven's standards, NightBlood bolted back to the gathering place. She approached the Healer and waited for her to take it away.

Grinning eagerly, RavenShard took the thick stick NightBlood found in her own mouth, setting it down beside Mortilitas Umbra.
"Perfect..." she muttered, among other unknown things. She set the stick down beside Umbra, and lifted his leg gently, poking and patting at it, muttering in low voices to nobody.
Setting it gingerly back to the ground, Raven looked upwards and around. Walking a few paces east, she grabbed an old, gnarly vine that snaked around a dead black tree and pulled it away. Going back to the group, she set the splint firmly beside Umbra's broken leg, and tried her best to tie the splint with the vines. It was not easy manuevering the rope-like tree appendage around Umbra's leg and the splint, but somehow she managed to secure it, tucking the vine tightly underneath its coils. Giving a audible huff, she prepared the last of the willow bark balm and set it over the last large wound on Umbras broken leg.
Mordecai watched with an intent gaze, barely able to keep up with the Healer's procedures. It wasn't until she bopped him in the nose with her paw that he realized she needed something from him.
"Hey!" Mordecai barked in surprise, rubbing his throbbing nose.
"Waterrrr...." she uttered in an insane hiss.
Swiping up water with the bowl in his teeth, he gave it to RavenShard, who took it and filled it with the last of the crushed Willow Bark.
She hesitated, the bowl still cupped in her front paws, when a flutter of wings descended down on them, the black raven returning from its long trip with a flowering green plant in its beak.
Making a gutteral throaty sound, RavenShard took the plant from the ravens beak and swiped the leaves and petals off of the stalk, putting it in the willow bark water mixture. She leaned forward, shuffling the flats of her back paws closer to Umbra, offering to pour the horrible tasting elixir into his mouth if it was too painful for him to try and maneuver the thing by himself.
Her eyes shone with a motherly sympathy, pleading the poor creature to take it.
