PERSONALITY

In Depth: Kobalt is pretty much indifferent to all things, meaning he has no personality. His mother kept him from experiencing many things and trained him to behave in such a way that he never looked surprised or looked like he cared about anything. He does, however, and tries to express it. When he does, though, it looks very strange and unnatural. Even a simple smile looks alien on his face.

Story
Kobalt was born to a distraught mother who had been betrayed by her whole family. By taking Era's rival as a mate, her brother had cut off his new nephew from being the next in line to inherit the rank of Alpha. Outraged that her dream had been dashed by the presence of a lowly dog, she vowed to train her only son to take the throne by force.

As if being cut from the royal line was not punishment enough, Era had been suspecting her mate of spending time in the human villages and stealing food as if he were a pitiful stray. She immediately cut their relationship off. Having estranged nearly everyone in the pack by isolating herself and her son, Era left the pack in search of a better training ground for her son.

Kobalt soon found himself in Geera, being trained by the top fighters of the pack. While in such a long state of peace, the Alpha had decided that it would be a good idea to train the pup in order to keep up the skills of their members.

Once Kobalt was trained, he and Era left to carry out their mission. It never happened, however. During his time in Geera, Cobalt saw how things should be. His mother had no right trying to make him do something he was not interested in. He had no intention of dominating a pack.

While they fought it out, Kobalt was unaware of a hunter near by. A shot was fired and his mother dropped to the ground. Shocked, Kobalt almost forgot to run away himself. He came to his sences when he heard the dogs barking. He ran as fast as he could away from the sight, back toward Geera.
