Personality:
Nightshade is both ambitious and ruthless. She will eliminate anyone in her way and will do anything to achieve her goals, removing and eradicating anyone in her path in order to obtain everything and anything she desires. The female will suffer no feelings of guilt or remorse for anything of what she has done in her past, in fact quite the opposite, you might go as far as to say that when she looks back at her past she is actually proud of her work. Not her failures, of course, but they way most of it turned out exactly how she desired for it to be, the way it made other canine’s life all the more miserable and in the end things turned her way, although not exactly how she had planned it out to be, but she plans to fix this soon.

A villain as its best, Nightshade is the type to torture and kill. She will approach her prey with a seductive smile playing at the edge of black lips, her movements slow and subtle and will wait just for the right amount of begging and pleading before she will end their life. She enjoys that spark of fear that lights up the eyes as she approaches, maybe they won’t beg or plead, but somehow the way the try to hold their ground, not express any fear pleases her even more. It’s even better when they break before her, holding their ground until the very last moment were they begin begging for death, it is all those little things that make the Queen of Sallin feel that sadistic joy that can change her foul mood into a light, “happy” one. Another thing that marks her as someone to beware is her scheming. She can be patient when it comes to building up a plan of action and slowly unraveling it, Nightshade is intelligent and has a quick mind that could surely be put to work on something better, but of course this isn’t the case.

Now for her Achilles’ heel –her temper. Nightshade has a temper that can be quiet and serene one moment and fiery and vengeful the next. Anger issues is what this would normally be called, tell her this and you can be sure she will rip your throat out before you can utter another word. No one can predict what exactly can set her off into one of her berserker modes, but one thing is for sure, you better be careful of what you say around the Queen. One day she might accept a snide remark but the next day she will launch at you with her all if you dare repeat the same thing. Because of her unpredictable temper anyone who approaches the Queen would better have a very good reason, since the conversation may result in a fangs and claws fight. The Queen can act rashly and recklessly at times, however this doesn’t mean she is a bad leader. She mostly rules either by fear or by satisfying her pack’s sadistic urges, this way she can keep the insane minds in check as well as be sure of their loyalty.

In order to get on her good side… wait, she has no good side. There is no possible way to make Nightshade like you, that’s for sure. From the moment she first sets eyes on you she has probably already made up her mind about whom or how you would act and because of her stubbornness you are unlikely to change her mind. One of the reasons is because she is extremely mistrustful. In a way, it is easier to walk on water than convince Nightshade that you are loyal to her no matter what.

Being the tyrant she is, it is hard for most to believe that Nightshade was once a happy, fun-loving puppy. Yet, for reasons known only to her, she developed a thirst for power and control, climbing the ranks of Råknu and eventually seducing the mateless alpha. However, when Nightshade was discovered to have a second mate and miscarried the alpha's litter, she was demoted to the rank of omega, and a young dog by the name of Kahvie took her place, more as a protector for the aging leader than a mate. Refusing to accept her loss of power, Nightsahde eventually turned the majority of Råknu against its alpha, as well as the dogs of the pack, using propaganda and cunning. She ultimately succeeded in overthrowing the alpha, and then turned on Kahvie in an attempt to destroy the mutt as well. In return, Kavs gave her a horrid scar across her nose, something that Nightshade has vowed to give back to the mutt double.
