Brightening Things Up! (Any, All! :D) « Thread Started on Apr 26, 2009, 11:33am »
This place was much, much too gloomy-looking. Of course it was a cemetery, but that didn't give it the right to be so dark and depressing all the time. Someone should do something about it... and that someone was going to be her.
Shantik pranced right up and down the dark hallways of the night-cast place, searching for some way to lighten it up... hmm... after a few moments of searching, she finally found some flowers placed by one of the graves. Sure, it made that one grave happier, but what about the others? The collie/shepherd mutt quickly grabbed the bouquet by the stems and shook it fiercely, scattering the bright colors and goodness all around the area. It helped... a little. She frowned, pouting a little as she looked around for something else. But this place was too big... maybe some help was needed.
Straightening the broken goggles atop her head with a more subtle head-shake, she was careful not to stick her nose too far in the air as she howled, so as not to dislodge them again. With luck, there'd be some magical person nearby she could reason with to help her find some flowers, ribbons, bright things like that to make this place happier. One could always hope, right? And maybe after wards, they could have a... what did the humans call it again...? A... par-tah? Part-ee? Par-tay...?
(I figured a post like this would be symbolic - brightening up Manor Cemetery with a neat party at the end could be the equivalent to doing the same with the entire forum. Or you could just reply for fun. XD)

(How ironic - you pick the one dog that wouldn't eat them. xDD)
Shan whimpered and ducked down, large ears pinned to her head. "H-hey! C-c-cut that out!" She cried, rather pathetically. She hated it when flying things attacked her. Spotting a larger gravestone nearby, she sprinted over and hid behind it, long tail tucked against her side. Slowly, she peeked out, giving very pathetic whimpers. Why didn't the bats like pretty colors and bright things...?

The remaining bat cackled shrilly. "Come on, gimme what you got!" he said in his high voice, "You're ssssuch a big dog, why don't you take a sssssssnap at me?!" The bat dove down again and got centimeters from her face, opening its tiny fanged mouth threateningly. He darted away again, his wings attempting to hit her face and freak her out.

A snarl abruptly parted her lips and Shan latched out, aiming to snap her strong jaws down on the bat. "Shut up!" She snarled, hackles rising and green eyes flashing in frustration. It was anger borne purely of fear of the bats. She just didn't want to get attacked again.

Sharp teeth caught on the bats wing and ripped the thin skin, sending the creature tumbling to the ground.
"Why you little..." the bat unleashed a series of loud supersonic swears at the canine, its voice getting higher and higher as it attempted to crawl away as fast as it could. It rested against the a small tree, curling up and nursing its injured wing, looking up at the dog with scared eyes. "Don't eat me..." he groveled.

Shan stepped closer to the annoying bat, eyes narrowed and tail high. "Why were you doing that? That was mean!" She growled, more hurt than annoyed. One really weird dog was one that was hurt when bats attacked. She sure was a weird one.
